In the garden

Morning Folks!
We have a new challenge for you over at CRAFT, this week it's

IN THE GARDEN

Not a place you're very likely to find me, I hate gardening and the only green fingers I've got are after playing with inks - LOL!!
This week we have 2 sponsors: The Crafty Pad

who have provided some fab images for the DT to work with and who are giving away 3 images to our winner &

Our second sponsor is Crimson Cloud who are giving a lucky winner 3 packs of diecuts.

Hope you like my card and can find time to join us!

Buzzing along!

Hello Bloggers!

Just a quick post to show you my card for the new challenge over at Lexi's Creations - well as long as Mr Blogger doesn't eat it or make it vanish into thin air -LOL!!
Our challenge for you this time is:

A BUG'S LIFE!!

I decided to use this cute bee, which is available in Lexi's shop - Fairy Dust Crafts , along with lots of other cute bug images. Yellow is my favourite colour but I rarely use it on cards so this was a good opportunity to dig through my stash and find some yellow goodies!!

The background paper is a piece of Black Magic co-ordinations paper that has been embossed through the cuttlebug with a Crafts too embossing folder (spots and dots) and then sanded to reveal the yellow core.
The image has been coloured with promarkers, the wings and buzzy trail have had stickles added and the eyes have a nice shiny layer of glossy accents on them!

The felt flower is by Queen and Co and has been in my stash for ages, I just added a black gem to the centre. I couldn't resist adding a charm which is another recent purchase from Ewe2can craft!

Thanks for looking and please check out the rest of the design teams fab creations over at Lexi's this time too!!

Pink Princess

Morning Folks!!

Hope you are all OK, just a very quick post from me today to tell you that the challenge at CRAFT is to

INCLUDE STITCHING (real or faux)

We are sponsored by Aifactory

who are giving our winner 2 digi stamps.

I was lucky enough to get to play with this fab image from them called 'Princess' which brought on another pink moment!! Strange thing is I don't really like pink, I just use it on cards a lot!!

I had to think about how to include stitching on this and then I had a light bulb moment - a very rare and quite surprising event! - I decided to stitch some beads on her dress and crown.

Then added some sequin flower embellishments, again stitched together. Finally I gathered up a piece of ribbon with a simple running stitch to add some texture to the bottom of the card.

Thanks for looking today!!

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crazy Challenge: Monochrome
Paper Sundaes: Girly girl
2 sisters: 1 image, 2 papers, 3 embellishments (beads, ribbon, flowers)

HCTB Challenge 4 : Myth and Magic

Morning Folks!!
Hope your weekend is going well!!
I'm here with my card for the new challenge over at Here come the Boys, I can't believe we are already on to our 4th challenge - hope you are enjoying them as much as the DT!!

Our challenge for you this time is Myth and Magic so have a dig around in your stamps and images and find something Magical !! Please remember though that this is a card challenge for men so I don't think fairy images are really appropriate - LOL!!

For my card I have used this cute wizard stamp that I bought off of Ebay many moons ago, I think it might be by Stampendous. I coloured the little chap with promarkers and then gave him a bit of a makeover, I used Doodlebug white flock on his beard and added glitter to his wand, cloak and hat. Seems funny to be adding glitter to a masculine card but I think this image suits a bit of bling!!

I had a bit of a struggle to find a suitable embellishment for this one but after delving around in my stash I found these die cut stars which were a magazine freebie I think, I just added a few tiny gems to them. The sentiment is from Craftwork cards.

Thanks for looking, please pop over to the main blog to see all the fab DT cards on display and all the rest of the details too!!

Relax & enjoy!!

Happy Thursday Folks!!

It's time for another challenge at CRAFT and this time our theme is:

FATHER'S DAY

which is fast approaching, so a good time to get your card made!!

I've had this Gruffies decoupage in my stash from Joanna Sheen for ages and I must admit I'd forgotten about it until I was having a bit of a tidy up!! Can you have too much stash I wonder??!! Anyway I decided this would be a perfect image for my Dad, who has a reputation for falling asleep as soon as he sits down on the sofa!! I had also forgotten how long it takes to do decoupage...it took forever to cut this out and I nearly gave up!!

As the finished image is quite big I decided to keep the rest of the card really simple with just some matting and layering. The sentiment is a bit hard to read in the photo but it says 'It's a hard life'

Isn't he so cute...

Side view of the layers:

Finished the card off with this resin sunflower which I have also rediscovered, I bought this in a Craft Central closing down sale, probably 2 years ago - I knew it would come in useful.....eventually!!

Hope you can join us at CRAFT this time, we are sponsored by Some Odd Girl

so you could be the lucky winner of 3 images .

I'd also like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Fussy and Fancy Friday: Card for man / boy
Creative Inspiration: Card for Dad
Sparkles Forum: Father's Day
Paper Sundaes: Include a sentiment
Craft your passion: Anything goes
The Crazy challenge: Father's Day
Pear Tree design : Summer delights

Wedding Bears

Morning Folks!!
I swear this week is flying by faster than normal - it's Thursday already!
This week at CRAFT we'd like to see you create something with a wedding / love theme. I made this card a few weeks ago for my cousin and his new wife who got married at Easter but didn't get around to blogging it! It's my first attempt at a white on white card. I've often admired them and I think they look especially stylish for weddings so I got out the cuttlebug folders and nesties and gave it a go!!

Here's a closer look at the Forever Friends decoupage, I haven't used any decoupage sheets for ages and I'd forgotten how much fun they can be!! The sentiment is from a Craftwork cards goodie bag. The picture doesn't show it too well but the card is a lovely white pearlescent one so it does have a nice sheen to it in real life!!

Thanks for dropping by today. Hope to see your romantic creations over at CRAFT - you could be the winner of a $10 voucher for
