Hooch

Afternoon Folks!
Hope you're all OK??
I just wanted to share a card which I started on Saturday and eventually finished last night!! I wasn't working on it non stop obviously but my crafting time keeps getting interrupted lately and I'm beginning to turn into the slowest card maker ever!!
The adorable pooch is called 'Hooch' and is from Little Miss Muffet, a little treat to myself at the end of last week!! I tried more of a flicking technique with the old promarkers to get kind of a shaggy feel on the fur, like the effect but I need more practice!!
The pink papers are dovecraft, chevrons are Fancy Pants - Swagger, finished with antique ribbon which was a magazine freebie about 5 years ago and card candi.

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday:
Imagine how long the card would have taken without a sketch!!!

I'd also like to enter the challenges at:
Little Miss Muffet - Pink and Grey (could become a new favourite!!)
Card Makin Mamas - For kids
Party time Tuesdays - Anything goes
Bearly Mine challenges - Anything goes

Toy Giraffe

Morning Folks!
Goodness me, this last fortnight seems to have whizzed past, I can't believe it's time for another challenge over at Here Come the Boys. This time we'd like to see your
BABY BOY CARDS

Now, I normally love making baby cards but for some reason my mojo disappeared completely this week. I had a completely different card in my head but it just didn't work and so in the end I went for something quite CAS!!
The super cute giraffe image is from Jellypark , I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it - I'm a big giraffe fan!! I've printed 3 copies, coloured them with promarkers and layered them up to give more depth. The sentiment is from Stampin Up and the heart banner is from Simon says Stamp. The papers are pretty old, perhaps dovecraft but I'm not sure!!

Thanks for visiting today, please head over to the main HCTB blog for all the challenge details and inspiration from the rest of the team!! I'm off to hunt down my mojo in a bit!!

Wild Rose & Summer days

Morning Folks!
A quick post from me this morning, it's my son's birthday today so a bit of a celebration going on here !!

I just wanted to share my card for the midway reminder over at Ready Teddy Go challenge, the theme is

SUMMER DAYS

Here's my card using a Wild Rose Studio stamp I picked up in a sale - too cute to resist!!
Now I have to confess that I had gone through a spell of making masculine cards just before I made this one, and I think it shows - way more embellished than my normal efforts, perhaps I should have added the kitchen sink too?!
The papers are First edition, sentiment is Craftwork cards and all the die cuts are by Memory Box; the  flowers, ribbon and bling are from my stash.

Here's a closer look:

We are sponsored by

Early for Christmas??

Afternoon Folks!
Just wanted to share a card I made over the weekend!! Yep, look at me go - another Christmas card from the women who is usually finishing off her crimbo cards in the week just before Christmas!!
I dug out one of my all time favourite LOTV stamps, the gorgeous James the Bear and teamed him up with the sketch over at Sketch Saturday, although as usual I played around with it a bit, in this case I went for a mirror image!!

Here's the original sketch:

Here's a closer look at James , I added some doodlebug flock to his hat, glitter and glamour dust for the snow - and  also managed to glitter and flock my black top in the process!!

I've also just figured out how to do the artistic edges to my images so here we are:

and a closer look at the snow flake cut with the ever faithful and almost antique cuttlebug die:

The papers are scraps from my folders, I think the blue stripes is from a Forever friends magazine freebie and the other one is from a very old paper pad by the English Paper Co. (are they still going??)
The sentiment is also by LOTV.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments - Any sentiment

Oldie but a goodie - Spots and stripes (old papers, stamp and snowflake die)

Blue, Blue Christmas...

Morning Folks!
Hope you are enjoying the weekend! Last time at Here Come the Boys we enjoyed seeing your Lazy Summer Day creations, this fortnight we are leaping forward in the year with our new theme:

BLUE CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER

Now, try not to panic because the 'C' word has been mentioned - there's still plenty of shopping days to go!!!

I went for a CAS style with my card, there are a lot of pics after I persuaded my camera that the colour of the card is sparkly turquoise and not a mucky green shade!

Flat view:

The tree stamp is 'Open Tree' by Hobby Art and it has been stamped with a turquoise Brilliance ink pad and then embossed with clear embossing powder. As it's for Christmas I added a bit of bling:

The sentiment inside has been stamped and embossed too, it's from the Stampin Up Wacky Wishes set:

The inside panel was decorated with a memory box die
 Our sponsor this time is
who is offering the winner a digi of their choice.
We can't wait to see your Christmas creations at Here Come the Boys but don't forget your creation must be for a boy or man - NO girly cards!!
