Your little monster!!!

Morning Folks!
I'm trusting Mr Blogger to post this today, so I do hope he is on his best behaviour!
It's time for another new challenge over at Lexi's Creations, can you guess what it is from the inside of my card??

Yep! It's FATHER'S DAY!!

Here's the front view, the cute monster is by Lexi and he is called Wip, you can find him here with the rest of the Fuzzie Wuzzie collection.
I'm afraid I don't know what any of the papers are - I was good and used up some odds and ends from my scraps box - smiles and polishes halo - LOL!!! Sorry the photo isn't very sharp, me and the camera weren't exactly working as a team when I took this!!

Thanks for popping over today, please visit the rest of the DT at Lexi's Creations and check out the lovely prize on offer from Letraset!!

HCTB Challenge 3 : Sailing ship

Morning Folks!

I can't believe it is Sunday again already and I'm even more surprised that we are about to start challenge 3 over at Here Come the Boys - it doesn't seem 5 minutes since we first started!!

This time we'd like to see creations for

Father's Day (or Hubbys / Partners)

We are being sponsored by our fabulous DT Member
Lynne Salmon and her Online Craft Shop!

Here's my card:

My Dad loves anything to do with the sea so I've used a new stamp that I thought would be perfect for him from Crafty Individuals called Navigation. I've only stamped out a couple of the elements from the plate. The backing paper is yonks old from HOTP, the charm is from Ewe2cancraft, attached with garden string! I only had quite bright gold card candy, so I've given it a coat of gold marker pen to dull it down a bit!! I've also decorated the inside- it is for a special occasion after all!!

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges

Creative Craft challenges: Blue, brown and cream
Creative Card Crew: Anything goes
Charisma Cardz: Boy Oh Boy
Totally Gorjuss: Strings the thing
Craft Your Days Away: Father's Day / special man
My Partner in Crafting Crime: Twine, Jute or String
Dream Valley Challenges: Stamp something

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

Little ladybird!

Morning Folks!
I do hope this cute little face brightens your day,
it's my DT card for the new challenge at Lexi's Creations which is

SPOTS and / or STRIPES

Obviously I've gone down the spotty route using Baby Ladybug from Fairy Dust Crafts who are also our sponsors this time! I printed the image on to white, red and cream card, then paper pieced the red shell. The face has been cut out of the cream image and has foam pads on the back to add depth. The shell has been covered with glossy accents to make it nice and shiny. It's a bit hard to see in the photo but the image is mounted onto shiny black card and then a white piece of card that has been embossed with a 'Seeing spots' cuttlebug folder. Double mounted and finished with a ribbon and a few gems in the corners.

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Daring cardmakers: The Darling buds of My
2 sisters: How does your garden grow?
Stamp something: Anything goes

HCTB Sketch challenge - Vintage car

Morning Folks!
I do hope that Mr Blogger is behaving himself now and manages to post this for me while I catch a few extra zzz's in bed!!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for our first ever challenge at 'Here Come the Boys' , all of the design team were surprised and thrilled to bits that so many people joined us!
Our second challenge is sponsored by Sarah Pinnington, who is a Stampin up demonstrator, so it's another lovely prize!!

This time we'd like to see what you can do with the following sketch:

Here's my take on it, rotated and mirrored but I think you can still recognise the sketch!
This was quite a quick and easy card, no colouring involved! The vintage car image is from a sheet of Graphic 45 paper, there are 15 cars on a sheet so great for bulk makes!! The backing papers are from the Prima Moulin Rouge pad, love the rich dark colours and they are surprisingly good for male cards. The greeting stamp is stamped onto the inside of an old kraft coloured envelope, love the texture. The edges have been inked to blend everything together.

Thanks for popping by today and don't forget to check out the other fab creations by the rest of the DT girls and join us here.

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:

Creative Craft challenges: Distressed / Vintage

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Little spaceman

Gosh folks, I can't believe it is Thursday already!!
I haven't had much time to craft this week but I have managed to finish my DT card for CRAFT where our new theme is:

ALIENS and SPACE

I have used an image from Digital Delights, who kindly sponsored our 'Star of the Month' for April, it's called Billy and Rocket 2.

I've coloured the image with promarkers and then added glossy accents over the face to make it look like a visor. The paper is an odd sheet from DCWV and the rub on super star sentiment was a free gift from a magazine years ago!! It's finally come in useful!!

The prize for this challenge is a gift voucher from Truly Madly Crafty . I do hope you can join us this week and a quick shout out because next week is going to be extra special:

Thanks for looking !

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:

Stamp something: Use a digi

Challenge up your life: travel - I hope space travel counts!!

the paper, brad and rub on are practically antique!!

I used 'Martini' from our sponsors, not my usual style but I think sometimes it is good to get out of the old comfort zone! Here she is, love that expression, think we have all seen that at some point in our lives!! "Just one for the road" sprung to mind!!

Here's my card using Scruffles from Fairy Dust Crafts

Very simple but he is so cute, I think it looks OK?? Would be fine for a quick hello or little message to a friend.
The paper is some very old xmas paper from my stash, some silver matt board and the dog bowl charm is from Ewe2can craft. Scruffles is coloured with promarkers and then cut out and mounted on foam pads to give a bit of depth.
