Daisy Bears

Afternoon Folks!
Mid week and I have a card to show you - yippee!!
I coloured this PB image, called Playtime, last week but it has stayed on my desk until last night when I decided it might suit the great sketch over at Sketch Saturday:

I've used some very old flowers from my stash, a sentiment from LOTV along with some new papers from the First Edition Blank canvas collection and my new MB trellis die which I love - just popped through the cuttlebug and came out like a dream!

Here's a closer look at the bears, the second bear in from the left always makes me smile, what has the other one said to give him that slightly shocked / puzzled expression??
They are of course coloured with promarkers - I don't really use anything else lately!!

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:
Ready Teddy Go - Spring has sprung
Charisma Cardz - No digi's allowed
Sentimental Sundays - Clean & Simple
Penny Black & More - Sew special

Baking a Cake!!

Morning Folks!!

I'm here to share my second card as a guest DT member over at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge - and yes, I am still wearing a BIG smile om my face!!

This time the challenge is:

FLOWER POWER OR FLOUR POWER  if you dare!!

As you can see I did dare and used this cute decoupage to make my card:

Have to say that little tail was tricky to cut out!!

I teamed the baking mice up with some fabric flowers that I have been hoarding forever and a mixture of old and new papers - yes I succumbed and treated myself to the First Edition Spring drop pad - my excuse I think the diagonal pattern looks good with the little baking team. The other papers are from my stash, one unknown and some dovecraft!! The sentiment is from a mulberry wood stamp set - cute font!!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Polkadoodles - Spring colours
Oldie but a Goodie - Inspired by a song - Stir it up by Bob Marley (old flowers and decoupage)
Papertake Weekly - The Sound of Music - Stir it up by Bob Marley

It's Mr Old Fart

Morning Folks!!
It's time for another fun challenge over at Here Come the Boys and here's my DT card for the new

MUST HAVE BUTTONS challenge

I've used the fab Mr Old Fart image from our sponsor Bugaboo and made a stepper card - I love the finished look but hate cutting them out, I always seem to go wonky!! Still this one does stand upright, otherwise I think this grumpy old fella would complain!

As usual I have used promarkers to colour him and found some suitable scraps in my box! The buttons are all from my stash too, just sat there waiting for their big moment!! Thanks for looking today, enjoy the rest of the weekend and don't forget to check out the rest of the design team cards over on the main blog and please join us for the chance to win some great Bugaboo images!!

I'd also like to enter Mr Grumpy into the following challenges:

I don't seem to have achieved that much today but I did finish this little card using a vintage Forever Friends stamp that I found lurking in a box in my room - really one day I will be properly organised and ultra tidy with everything in it's place - yeah I know the Flying Pig just went past!! Anyway, here she is looking really cute and bashful! The papers are from my scraps collection, a mixture of DCWV and papermania I think??

Caroling Penguins

Hi Folks,
I was sorting through some wooden stamps on Thursday night and I came across this Penny Black stamp which I have had for years but hardly used. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that in the past I've always just inked it up and then coloured it in leaving the black wings and backs just as they were inked. The end result was always disappointing as the bodies never looked dark and even enough - does that make sense?? Anyhow, I suddenly had a brainwave - a rare event so you have to make the most of them!! - colour over the top with black promarker, I know you are probably all rolling your eyes thinking hardly rocket science but I'm happy with the end result and to be fair the last time this was inked I didn't even own a single promarker!!

I think it must have been fate to colour this in because the challenge at Winter Wonderland announced on Friday is Pppp pick up a penguin and these little chaps were sat on my desk!! I found time to make this today using the sketch at The Sweet stop:

I'd also like to enter this trio into the following challenges before they retire to my Christmas card box!!

Crafty Creations - Something old (stamp) and something new (black pearls)
Penny Black Saturday - Anything goes
Sparkles Christmas challenge - Fave Christmas colours (traditional red and green!!)

Can you see the big grin on my face??

This time the challenge is

FEELING BLUE

which you can interpret either as the colour or unwell/ sad

I've gone for a combination of blue and a bit sad using one of my all time favourite Gruffies images called All Warm and Furry, and a teabag. I think the pictures will explain:

Happy Campers

Morning Folks!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, I'm looking forward to an extra day off tomorrow - I'm voting for more 3 day weekends so I can get more crafting done!!
I hope you can find the time to join us over at Here Come the Boys, where we are celebrating our 2nd Birthday with some fab candy on offer:

Our new challenge for the next fortnight is
PAPER PIECING

Now I do have to admit this was quite a challenge for me, I love the effect of paper piecing but am not great at it and this card turned into a bit of an epic!! I couldn't find a suitable stamp in my collection, 2 attempts with LOTV stamps hit the bin so I resorted to looking for a masculine but non - character digi stamp. After a quick  search I bought this fab camper van stamp by Lilyboo designs at Cuddly Bubbly.

The printer behaved itself even on the quite thick orange card, last time I fed card through it jammed big style so I was beginning to feel much happier. Should have known better because the new embossing folder turned out to be a bit fierce, my paper came out of the Cuttlebug way more distressed than anticipated, in fact one swirl fell out like a die cut! Still not to be defeated I decided to really go for the distressed look and took a paper edger to everything in sight. Again not something I'd normally do, perhaps it was the frustration or just going for an extra challenge LOL!!
Here's a closer look at the end result, not my normal style but it is growing on me!!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:
