Mother's Day card

Being a bit new to the world of blogging and card challenges, I had been wondering how peeps found the time to enter so many challenges. After hopping around more, I realised you can enter one card into multiple challenges (I know, but I am a slow bear sometimes..)
This morning I put my thinking cap on and came up with this. I think I can enter it for EIGHT challenges!! Best of all though, I am pleased with myself for having made a Mother's Day card for my Mum in advance, so I should avoid my usual last minute panic!!

Here goes then:

Sunday sketch & stamp challenge #22 ~ A great sketch to work from:

Just Cute Bears ~ Challenge #5 ~ Lilac

Crafy Catz ~ Challenge # 21~ A fancy edge and a ribbon

Magical Crafts Fortnightly challenge ~Challenge# 9 ~ Something for Mum

Polka Doodles ~ week 8 ~ create a shaped card (hope an easel card counts??)

Secert Crafter Saturday ~Challenge 71 ~ Mother's Day

Cute Card Thursday ~ Challenge #101 ~ Feature ribbon &

Lexi's Creations ~ Challenge #8 ~ Anything goes!!

Think that's me done for today folks!!

VENETIAN MASKS ATCs

I am lucky enough to be the host of an ATC swap on the Trimcraft forum. Our theme for this year is Celebrations and this months theme is 'Carnival & Masks' to celebrate the carnival in Venice in February.
Here are my 3 swaps, all with vellum background printed with a view of Venice and hand cut masks, decorated with gems, peel offs and feathers. If you'd like to join in with the swaps please click on the link to take you to all the details. March's theme is 'Dogs' to celebrate Crufts.

Hope people like their swaps, and thanks for looking. Stay warm !!

Wallace & Gromit pop up card

Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday, quite a significant one with a zero at the end, so I made him this card last night. As usual, it was a bit last minute, lol, and my mind went blank...I wanted something fun but wasn't sure what?? While I was puzzling over what to do, I remembered the W&G goodies from 'Let's make cards' magazine which I bought last year. Dad loves Wallace & Gromit & the magazine had a pop up card in it. At last inspiration struck!! This is my first attempt at a pop up card but it came together OK and I quite like the effect of W&G drinking tea in their lounge. Sorry the picture quality is not great but I took the photos early this morning, before I put it in the post, & my camera didn't really like the low light levels.

Thanks for looking!

Another Challenge Card!!

I'm on a roll today, I have managed to finish 2 cards in one morning which is pretty good for me!!! I'm entering the first one into 2 challenges:

I found a great blog while blog hopping the other evening which is just perfect for a bear fan :-), it's just cute bears challenge. The sketch was so fun to follow and having to use a teddy image was a BIG plus point for me!!

I'm also hoping that this card will qualify for the challenge at Allsorts this week, which is a recipe, 3, 2, 1.

I have used 3 papers ( Blueberry Rustic dots - Bo Bunny, and 2 from Docrafts Forever Friends For you...)

2 flowers (prima)

& 1 stamped image (Forever Friends)

The second card came together as I was about to tidy up my desk (a rare event!) I'm sending it to a forum friend for her birthday - hope she likes it!

Thanks for looking!!

At last!!

At last, I have managed to finish a card this week!! This is my entry for the first challenge over at Pink Gems new Blogspot . The original sketch was for ovals but in the absence of oval nesties (still on the shopping list!!) I decided to use circles on a rectangular card instead. The original sketch is:

I used Birthday Milly stamp from Pink Gem, coloured with promarkers and paper pieced dress (another first attempt!!), with doodlebug papers, flowers, gems and ribbons from stash. The sentiment sticker is from the new Honey & Hugs collection by Papermania. It is unusual for me to make such a girly pink card but I liked the change!!
I think this will also be suitable for the challenge over at magical crafts fortnightly challenge which has the theme 'Something for the Kids' so I am going to enter that one too...yes I know this blog hopping is addictive!!!
