Spring bunnies

Hi Folks!
It's a bright but very chilly afternoon here in Hampshire - have you had much snow yet? We've had a few flurries here but not much has settled. I'm secretly hoping for lots of snow so I can have a day off from school!!

Today, I wanted to share my entry  for the monthly progressive challenge over at Gerda Steiner Designs using Spring Bunny Friends.

I fell in love with this sweet couple as soon as they arrived in my inbox. I think they could be used for lots of occasions. I coloured them up with promarkers last night and raided my scraps folders to find suitable papers. I decided to go CAS to keep the focus on the image and also because I was short of time!!
The sentiment is made by Inkadinkado, I picked it up in a job lot of stamps from Ebay and it is rapidly becoming a favourite, love the funky font.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new image Gerda sends out next month, so far they have all been super cute and fun to colour.

Thanks for visiting today and for any comments you leave xx

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:
Crafty Friends - Springtime
Allsorts - I Spy Something beginning with B - Bunnies and bloom
Cute Card Thursday - Cute Critters
I love promarkers - Anything goes

Love tail

Morning Folks!
It's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. Nat has chosen this weeks theme which is

HAVE A HEART

I know Valentine's Day was last week but there are still lots of occassions when it's nice to send someone a little love in happy mail!!
Here's my card using a super cute PB mouse stamp called Love tail. I've had this in my collection for quite a while but I think this is the first time I've inked it up. I'm thinking now it could become a favourite though as it was fun to colour and a good size. I have a couple of significent family wedding anniversaries coming up later in the year, one Ruby and one Golden. I'm thinking this card could be for the ruby celebrations. The papers are actually Christmas ones from the First Edition Vintage Noel collection. They didn't seem quite right to me for a crimbo card but I like them on this! I've inked up the edges to add to the vintage feel.

Here's the happy meecy couple:

The flowers are by prima, I just layered them up with some green fern die cuts I found in my stash. I have absolutely no idea where they came from - could it be I have too much stuff ??? No I thought not!!

Thanks for visiting today xx

A scrappy card ....

Morning Folks!
It's a super quick post from me this morning, I'm supposed to be heading out the door in 20 minutes and I almost forgot to blog my mid way reminder post for the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge - ooppss!

As usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES
The optional 'Extra' challenge this time is to
USE SOME SCRAPS
We are generously sponsored by
The prize is a $20 voucher.

Here's my card using a selection of papers from my scraps folders. There isn't actually a whole piece of paper on here, the pink diamond backing is from LOTV and it is actually two rectangles that don't meet up under the central candle band. The candle paper is from Crafter's Companion and this is also in 2 halves which don't join under the image. The pink dotty paper is two rectangles which are also just tucked under the edge of the middle band. The reason this piece of paper was in the scraps folder was because I had dropped a purple ink pad on it at some point but the offending splat mark is cunningly hidden behind the image. There's a reason why us crafters never through much away - so we can make frugal cards!

Here's the close up view:

We're looking forward to seeing your entries (and the scraps you have used!!) over at PBSC, just click the hedgehog below and he should take you straight there!

Love Balloons

Hi Folks!
Over at Sketch Saturday, they are celebrating their 500th challenge which is a remarkable achievement in Blogland. I love the sketch for this challenge and ignored some DT projects to make a card to join in with the celebrations :-)
Here it is using PB Tokens of Love, coloured with promarkers and glossy accents on the balloons. The red papers are Forever Friends. The diagonal one is from First Edition Sweet Nothings pad which was a bargain at The Works the other day, it seemed rude to leave it behind!!

Here's the Sketch Saturday sketch -

Flying by .....

Afternoon Folks!
Two blog posts in one day is a very rare event on my blog lately!
I just wanted to share this card I made for my husband for Valentine's Day, I'm pleased to say he loved it! I had fun colouring this super cute hedgy with promarkers and a touch of pencil shading. There is a bit of glossy accents on his goggles too!

Here's the finished card, I kept it CAS which is always a good approach for male cards I think.
I just created a little sky scene using some polka dot paper which is possibly by craftwork cards and die cut clouds made with an Impression Obsession die set and  pearlescent paper embossed with Swiss dots embossing folder.

Thanks for visiting!
I'd also love (get it??) to join in with the following challenges:

Daisies for you

Morning Folks!
A quick post from me, just to let you know we are starting a new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges. This month we would like to see your
CLEAN AND SIMPLE designs
Here's my card, using one of my favourite LOTV stamps of all time - Armful of daisies which I think has now been discontinued :-(

I love colouring up this cutie which is fab for so many occasions, the sentiment is from a Julie Nutting stamp set.
I tried hard to step away from the embellishments but I couldn't resist adding a few tiny gems:

Giraffe love and Kisses!

Morning Folks!
It's a chilly start here in Hampshire this morning!
Our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers is just starting, the theme is

LOVE AND KISSES

perfect timing for Valentine's Day or any other romantic occasion you want to celebrate.
Here's my card using a fabulous digi called 'A kiss for Valentine's' from our sponsors All Dressed Up. I made a Z fold card which was a real pain to photograph because it kept flying open!!

I've had the bright flowery paper for years, no idea now where it came from but I thought it matched the flowers on the background of the image quite well.

How cute are these two giraffes:

A cosy basket....

Morning Folks!
It's a very happy post from me today and not just because it is Saturday!
I am very pleased to announce that I have joined the design team over at Penny Black Saturday Challenges - the perfect place for a PB addict like me and perhaps an excuse to add to my collection, not that I need much excuse!
Love my fab new badge:
The new challenge is just starting over on the main blog, as usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES
The optional 'Extra' challenge this time is to
USE SOME SCRAPS
Nice and easy, I reckon! I don't think there are any card makers that don't have a pile of scraps and offcuts that they can't bear to throw away!
Here's my card, apologies for the poor picture quality but it was really dark and gloomy when I took these photos before popping the card in the post. The stamp is a new one from the 'Man's Best Friend' set which I got for Christmas from my sister.
The scraps making up the background are a real mixture of DCWV, Dovecraft, First Edition and Crate Paper. They are all edged with Versamark chalk ink which I find helps to cover up any small gaps when sticking the squares together.  The ribbon is also a scrap, there wasn't quite enough to wrap across the whole front so I cut it in half and lined it up, covering the gap with the image. Frugal or what??!

As usual I used promarkers to colour the dog and finished with a Stampin' Up sentiment.

I do hope you'll pop over to the main blog, just click on the picture below, to see the fabulous cards from the rest of the design team.
