Here's my card using Louie and Cupcake from our kind sponsor DigiStamp Boutique.  How cute is he??!! I'm in love!!

I even broke open a newly purchased Dovecraft Back to Basics - Baby Steps paper pad especially for this card - it bypassed the stroking and admiring stages altogether!

 Louie looks a little sad, perhaps he is worried that bee / wasp is going to land on his cupcake!

Yippee, it's the weekend at last - gosh it has been a long week! I'm just popping by with my mid way reminder post for the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge

MAKE IT MASCULINE

Here's my card using a favourite PB stamp for those tricky male makes, this one is called Dressed Up. In the past I have used him for everything from good luck in your new job, Father's Day, Birthdays, Sorry I forgot etc!! I'm planning to add a sentiment to this one when I use it. The spotty papers are very old MME and the stripey one is Docrafts Wellington. I coloured the card candi with a promarker to match the papers. 

Just love those ears!

Over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges, Cathy has choosen a super theme for this month:

LET'S BE PRETTY

Time to dig out those pretty finishing touches like lace, ribbon, flowers etc. 

I've made a wedding card for a change, not that there are any weddings on the horizon which is a shame as I do love a nice wedding! I was inspired by the pretty precoloured square from LOTV which I bought from their ebay outlet. I then went bonkers with the embellishments - no signs of less is more here today!!

 The pearls on wire stems are from the Floristry dept in a local garden centre along with some paper roses which I have been hoarding for years:

I also used white pearlescent card from Anna Marie designs, embossed with a Papermania Victorian Fleur folder.

Silver glitter card from Stix2, lace and silver congrats sentiment from my stash. The die cut heart was a RAK from a friend, it could be Tattered Lace but I'm not sure??

Afternoon Folks!

I'm here to share a bright and cheerful card, I'm all caught up on DT makes for the moment so I had chance to play yesterday. This very cute elephant digi from Lee Holland has been waiting to be coloured for a while. I teamed him up with my latest favourite papers, Dovecraft - Basic Steps which I think you'll be seeing quite a bit of in the next few weeks. I love grey and yellow together in the summer, not so sure they work at Christmas!

 I used promarkers and a touch of pencil to colour him:

I just added some old Dovecraft ribbon and paper flower, along with a craftwork card sentiment.

I know lots of folks are not keen on making cards for the men in their lives, but actually I quite like making them as they generally tend to be quite CAS with minimal embellishments which suits me!! Do remember though that the masculine theme is just optional, if you prefer to make something more feminine that's fine with us - as long as it has a Penny Black image, die or stickeroo on it!

Morning Folks!

Nobody panic after reading the title of this post, we are nearly halfway through the year (really?!) but the big fella in the red suit has not been sighted yet!

However, we would like to see your creations featuring 

SANTA 

over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE this month!

Something a little different from me this time. Goodness knows why but I was tempted into buying a Create and Craft Christmas topper and decoupage kit when I saw it on Facebook last year - I already have some old Christmas decoupage sheets hiding in a drawer but there's nothing like a new box of fresh crafting goodies is there! I was very plesently surprised by both the quality and amount of stuff in the kit though and it made a nice change from stamping! You might well see more from this kit in the future, but for now I love a good traditional 'Coca- Cola' Santa:

I just added some gold glitter peel offs, a snippet of ribbon and some gold gems from my stash. The kraft bag is from The Works.
