Shades of Autumn

Morning Folks and Happy Hallowe'en!
Don't panic, nothing scary going on in this post!
This week, the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers has been choosen by Elaine who would like to see projects inspired by

SHADES OF AUTUMN

I fell in love with this cute squirrel image called 'Autumn Nutty' when it was released over at DigiStamp Boutique a couple of months ago. He seemed perfect for this challenge so here he is making his first appearance on my blog, coloured up with promarkers and a touch of pencil:

I used another sheet of my current favourite paper, Dovecrafts More or Less Collection. Initially, I wasn't too sure about the colours but now I'm beginning to think I should have bought 2 packs ...  I love the orange, turquoise and browns together (or in this case on their own) and the patterns. Here's what I'm rabbiting on about:

The woodgrain paper is from The Works, banner and sentiment die cuts from The Range, and hessian ribbon from the Art of Craft. The pinwheel flower/ rosette is from American Crafts, it's such an ancient packet - I can't even remember where I got it!

Don't forget to pop over to
to see what the rest of the design team have made!
Get creating with your Letraset / Winsor & Newton markers and join us!! Remember you can enter any type of creation, it doesn't have to be a card.

This week we  have two prizes, a packet of 6 promarkers and a 30% discount voucher from Petal Lu
for our winner.

Thanks for visiting today xx

Racoon

Hi Folks!
It's really grey and dull here in Hampshire - I'm feeling like it should be time to hibernate!
Anyhow, I have just the thing to cheer things up a bit, this is my entry  for the monthly progressive challenge over at Gerda Steiner Designs.  How cute is this racoon holding his little message board!!

I fell in love with this little chap as soon as he arrived in my inbox. Not being totally familiar with racoons, I did do a quick google search to check colours and markings before I got the promarkers out!

I'm looking forward to seeing what image Gerda sends out for November, so far they have all been super cute and fun to colour.

Thanks for visiting today and for any comments you leave xx

Herbie Bear

Morning Folks!
Hope your week is going well so far!
There's no excuse for not joining us over at Passion for Promarkers this time, the new challenge is everyone's favourite:

ANYTHING GOES

Get creating with your Letraset / Winsor & Newton markers and join us!!  We are sponsored by
who are giving 3 digi's to our lucky winner. They were also kind enough to let the DT have some digi's to play with. Here's my make using the fabulous Herbie Bear that you can find here in the shop.

I came across these tags in my stash and decided that it was about time I used at least one of them. I'm quite pleased with the end result, I think it makes a nice change from a bottle bag when giving wine as a Crimbo pressie. The stripey paper is from The Night before Christmas paper pad by Helz Cuppleditch.
I finished the tag with a snippet of ribbon and a wooden heart which were in a RAK from a friend. I also added some glamour dust for a touch of seasonal sparkle.

Don't forget to pop over to
to see what the rest of the design team have made! We're looking forward to seeing your makes too!

Thanks for visiting today xx

I'd also like to enter the challenges at:
Christmas with the Cuties - Christmas Animals
CHNXmas - Anything Christmas goes and optional stripes
A Gem of a Challenge - Spots +/or stripes or Halloween
Crafty Catz - A/G and optional twist - use ribbon
CHNXmas Extra - Anything Christmas goes
As you like It - Ribbon or Flowers - Ribbon for me most of the time, I like it because it looks OK on masculine cards and because you can use it to add interest to a design rather than using more papers. Also it takes me an age to decide how to arrange flowers on a card and I rarely think they look right once I have glued them down :-(

Autumn Colours

Morning Folks!
I hope you're having a good weekend, I'm cooking Sunday lunch for friends and looking forward to a good old catch up with them later! Before I set off to the kitchen, I just wanted to let you know that the new theme over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges  is

AUTUMN COLOURS

Here's the little cutie who is on my card, coloured with promarkers and a touch of glossy accents on the ladybird:

The PB stamp is called Greetings. The papers are some odds and ends from my scraps folders that went well together, the yellow spotty one is by Crate Paper and has fabulous texture and the rusty red one is from MME. The die cut is a recent purchase from The Range which I think is going to get lots of use as I love it!

Juggling leaves

Hi Folks!
Thank goodness it's nearly the weekend !!
As it's the first Friday of the month, we're starting a new challenge over at Making Memories Crafting
This time we are generously sponsored by QKR Stampede.
We're using this fabulous mood board as our inspiration  but you can join us with the 'anything goes' option if you prefer:

I got a bit peckish looking at this board, those buns at the bottom right look tasty but I was inspired by the leaves which instantly made me think of this cute stamp. My House Mouse stamps have been a bit neglected lately, if only there were more hours in the day .... but it was good to blow the dust off this one from a Joanna Sheen set called 'It's just gardening'. The papers are a mixture of First Edition, LOTV and Wellington.

Mr Mouse has been coloured with promarkers and a touch of coloured pencil. The die is a new one from The Range, it cuts beautifully and only cost £1.

Thanks for visiting!

Kiki with Cupcake

Morning Folks!
Hope you're all OK? It's definitely feeling like autumn here today, there are leaves blowing everywhere, hubby will not be pleased, it's his job to clear them up in the garden - although it is a chance to 'play' with the leaf blower. Boys and their toys!

This week, the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers is nice and simple:

PRETTY IN PINK

Here's my card using a digi called Kiki with Cupcake which is available here in the Little Miss Muffet store. I actually bought this image when it was sold by Pollycraft but I think this is only the second time I've coloured it up. When I made this card, I had just made some Christmas and autumn cards so the fresh colour scheme made a nice change. The papers are by Dovecraft.

Anyone for cake?

Is Santa stuck in the chimney?

Morning Folks!
We have a new challenge starting over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE today, Sybrina has chosen the theme

CHRISTMAS IS FOR KIDS

We would like to see your cards that are fun for children!

I think when you're a kid, Christmas means Father Christmas visiting (if you've been good!) so that's the theme for my card. I used this fun digi which was a freebie from DigiStamp Boutique several years ago, I can't find the exact same one in the shop but this one is quite similar. I coloured the image with promarkers and teamed it up with some bold papers:

I had to add a pom pom to his hat and a sprinkling of glitter, all the Xmas cards I remember making as a child had a good dusting of glitter!

Please click the piccy to visit the main blog
and see the inspiration from the rest of the design team! You have a whole month to join us, we'd love to see what you make!
