In the Pink

Morning Folks!
I'm gradually getting back into the swing of things after a wonderful half term break, we visited Rome - took in some sights, ate great food and enjoyed a little sunshine!! Shame we had to come back to a rather grey and dull weekend :-(

Warning, my next card is rather bright, probably trying to compensate for the English weather!!

This week, the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers is
IN THE PINK
We are sponsored by Bugaboo and I had the perfect image waiting patiently in my digi files, it's called Pig Cupcakes! Whenever I look at this image, I always think of Esther the Wonder Pig on Facebook who is rather partial to a cupcake, she always makes me smile.
Here's my card, gone a bit retro on this one very old Dovecraft Papers and a spot of Card Candi which I haven't used in ages; I bought several colours when it was all the rage and now it seems to have gone out of fashion. Anyone else got a few packets tucked away??
Apologies for the photo quality, this was the best of a bad lot taken in the evening!

Thanks for visiting today, and don't forget to pop over to
to see what the rest of the design team have made!
Get creating with your Letraset / Winsor & Newton markers and join us!! Remember you can enter any type of creation, it doesn't have to be a card.

4 Bugaboo digital stamps of the winner's choice.

Tokens of Love

Morning Folks!
I hope those of you who celebrated St.Valentine's Day yesterday had a great time. Over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges, we are continuing the celebrations as we would like to see the word
LOVE
 on your creations

Here's my card, using a new Penny Black stamp. Yes, I've been shopping on Ebay again!! I did raid my scraps folder to make this though ... not sure the amount of scraps is actually going to look any better soon but at least I tried!
The 'I love you' sentiment was on a pre-printed card blank that I've had for years, I think it was DCWV, but anyway it was just the perfect size to pop on here!

Here's the close up view, the glossy accents on the balloons looks quite nice in real life but it is hard to capture on camera!

Card details:
Stamp - Penny Black - Tokens of Love
Coloured with promarkers and glossy accents
Papers - Forever Friends and DCVW
Silver heart brad - Making Memories
Black pearls from stash

Heart's away!

Morning Folks!

It's the first Friday of the month which means it's very nearly the weekend, and that there is a new challenge starting at Making Memories Crafting!
All the design team have been thrilled to have over 120 entries in our first challenge and we do hope that you'll be able to join us for our second challenge which is to celebrate

VALENTINES
(Use some RED or any colour you associate with Valentine's)

I decided to dig out a super cute PB stamp - yep no change there - and make something with a love theme ! Can't help thinking now though that I might have gotten a little carried away with the die cut hearts! Generous is perhaps a better description but anyway, it's too late to change my mind, they aren't going to come off without a fight and ruined card!

Hope you can see the glossy accents on the balloons:

 Details
Stamp - Penny Black - Hearts Away,
coloured with promarkers and glossy accents
Papers - selection of Christmas paper scraps from the large collection which still seems to be expanding!

Holly Jolly Christmas Box

Morning Folks!
I'm super excited to announce that I have joined the design team at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE. As well as joining a lovely group of ladies, I'm hoping it might give me the push I need to use some of the neglected Christmas stash I buy AND to make a few cards before December!! Fingers crossed!!

The new challenge is just starting, we'd like to see you
USE KRAFT
I bought a kit of kraft tags from a show before Christmas with great intentions to make decorated gift bags

... time as usual ran away from me and they were still unopened so I decided to remedy that using this super cute mouse stamp. I've never been too happy with the results I get colouring with my usual promarkers on kraft so the old faithful coloured pencils got an airing too!

As I finished the tag with some of the twine from the kit I had a light bulb moment. The bottom of the tag kit was a fab kraft coloured tray, so I made it a lid with some strong red card and added some stripey Christmas papers - and woohoo, a handy Crimbo gift box was made!

I added another piece of stripey paper inside to give some strength and also to hide the seams on the inside base. I've left the tag loose for the moment to make it easier to write on.

Details:
Stamp - Makey Bakey Mice - Holly Jolly Christmas
Coloured with WHSmith watercolour pencils
Papers - First Edition Vintage Noel
Dies - Nesties labels 4
