Isn't she cute ???

Hello Folks!
Don't you just love this cute & girly bear?? She is called Daisy and I bought her this week from The Clipart Fairy. I think she was an absolute bargain for 65p and so easy to use and resize etc. If you are a bear fan like me, they have several cute bear digi's that are just waiting to be adopted!! A few more might have jumped into my shopping basket along with Daisy. Well, I didn't want her to get lonely now did I!!!
I used a sheet of BG paper from sugared collection, prima E - line flowers, prima got flowers, papermania (i think?) paper for her dress, butterflies and ribbons from stash, computer generated sentiment and a clear pearl.
Daisy is 'entering' the following challenges:
Sketch & Stash Challenge #32 : Daisy was new and the butterflies have been in my stash for ages!!
Create4fun: brown, cream & pink
Stamptacular Sunday challenge : Flower power
Crafty calendar challenge: Flower power & optional pastels
Pink Elephant: Pastels
Digital Tuesday : Scrap it - Daisy's dress has been paper pieced with a scrap from my box of bits!!
Creative Cottage: Pretty Pink
Pile it on : Animal Riffic! - she is a bear so I hope that counts!!
and
Crafty creations: Anything goes!!
Good luck Daisy!!!

Quick bookmark!!

Last week, I found this really fab bookmark over at Dustin Pikes fab blog (his images are such fun!!) and it was just shouting out to be coloured in and made into a bookmark for my son. This afternoon, it was a toss up between the ironing or playing with the promarkers - no prizes for guessing which one won!! I was influenced a bit by feeling the need to enter the bookmark challenge over at A spoonful of Sugar..... My son's favourite colour is green and I didn't think he'd like a ribbon on it (too girly!!!....ugh!!!) so I finished it off with a tuft of funky fibre and a brad. I'm also going to enter it into the Creative Inspirations challenge which is anything but a card.

Thank you!!

For this card, I've followed the great sketch over at Just Cute Bears which was quite straight forward, but very effective I think!! I've used another Forever Friend stamp - a recent purchase but definately becoming a favourite! - and a 'Thank You' stamp by Savvy stamps. The flowers are Hydragenas by Prima, tiny buttons (cute!!) from stash and paper is by Frances Meyer. I was also brave, I've attempted my first ever faux stitching on a card after seeing some fab doodling over at the Stamp Something challenge. I was a bit nervous about drawing on a new card, but the effect is growing on me. I'm also entering the Quixotic Challenge - #18 Monochrome, as most of this card is shades of brown, the paper is a pale terracotta colour but it has come out a little 'peachy' in the pictures.... :-(

First Easter Card...

I've made this card using one of my fav stamps from Penny Black - Easter March which I bought last year. Image is coloured with watercolour pencils with a hint of shimmering mica paints (cheap brand!) on the egg and bow. Cut out with my new scalloped oval nesties and mounted on Doodlebug papers. Ribbon and die cut eggs from stash, I think they were magazine freebies but I've had them ages!! I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash challenge #31 which really appealed to me because I could use my new nesties!!

I'm also entering this one into the following challenges:

Colour create challenge - Your choice of pastels plus Spring/Easter theme

Our creative corner - Think Easter!

Paperplay Challenges - Easter

Creative card crew - Challenge #46 - Going Dotty! and

C.R.A.F.T. - Challenge #43 - Easter

Art Deco Roundies

Just a quick post to show you my Art Deco ladies for a Roundie swap over on the Trimcrafts forum. For those of you who haven't come across roundies, they are 4" diameter circles which you decorate like an ATC. I've used a Hero Arts stamp and Kanban Vintage travel background paper from my stash. Hats are coloured with mica paint to give a little shimmer and a bling jewel added. The ATC is for Diana, our hostess, an image downloaded from the internet and decoupaged. Hope whoever gets these roundies likes their swaps. See you later....

Horace Hound

I'm catching up with my blogging today! I made these 3 ATCs for the celebrations ATC swap over on the Trimcraft forum. The theme this month is Dogs to celebrate Crufts. I've used the cute Pink Gem 'Horace' dog stamp which was the cover gift with this months Craft Stamper magazine. I don't normally buy this mag, but I had to get a copy because I just NEEDED Horace!! I've coloured him with promarkers and added a few bits from my stash. Thanks for looking!!

My Lucky Week!!

I have been so lucky this week, I've won 2 fab prizes!! I can't quite believe it because I am not normally a lucky person, if I win a raffle I usually get the last ticket for the antique Grandma perfume!!!

My first prize was a £25 gift voucher from Karen at Donemarkcrafts, you can see my 'Messy rabbit' card on their home page here. I loved looking around the shop, my biggest problem was trying to decide what to spend it on 'cos there was sooo much I loved !! Delivery was super fast and my prizes arrived yesterday:

  • Dovecraft Tidy Tray

  • Nellie Snellen Eastern Round dies

  • Cuttlebug embossing folder - Caramello

  • Ollyfant Clear Stamp & Paper sets - cook & beach girl

Also this week, a lovely Sugar Nellie 'Boys in the Tree' stamp arrived, I was lucky enough to win it in their recent blog hop:

I'm looking forward to inking it up (just need some more EZ mount !) , you can see Rowenas fab doorhanger project for the hop here

Can't believe I have been such a lucky bunny, HUGE thanks to Karen & Rowena!!

Birthday Hound!!

This is the first card I have made in ages, there is nothing like having a stinking cold and the builders in, to make your mojo go walkabout !! I think you are probably OK and not likely to catch my germs!! I needed to make some more 'masculine' cards for family birthdays coming up, and after having a good old rake through my stash, I came up with a very different colour scheme for me, I don't normally use a lot of black but I have to say I like the contrast between the black and bright colours on this one. The stamp is 'Birthday dog' by Penny Black, coloured with promarkers. Paper is by Trimcraft (I think??) and the brad is from a pack of 'Paper treats' by Around the Block which I bought many moons ago... added a touch of sparkle to the candles with some stickles. I think I might send this card to my nephew who is 'almost' a teenager soon!

I'm also going to enter it into some challenges too:
The sketch is from 'Friday Sketchers' #93 which was fun to work with.
'Craftycatz' challenge #23 which is something for the boys
Cards for Men challenge #6 which is Happy Birthday
and also Cute Card Thursday challenge #103 which is celebrations.
Thanks for taking the time to look, I'm off to find my duvet soon!!!
