Christmas Stocking pup

Afternoon Folks!

Wow, can you believe we are half way through December? I still feel like I missed November somewhere .... Of course the BIG event is next weekend - try not to panic anyone!!

Just thought I'd share the Christmas card I made for my hubby (at least I have that done!)
This stamp was in a job lot from ebay, cost quite a bit in postage and there was only one other nice stamp in there but I had to have this one - LOL!!
I'm prowling around ebay quite often now looking for PB stamps as there don't seem to be many UK stockists anymore :-(
If anyone can recommend any please shout.

Back to the card, this stamp is called 'That Xmas Feeling', coloured with promarkers. I've combined it with an assortment of papers from my scraps folders along with a brand new piece of First Edition green 'Fairisle' paper which reminded me of knitting. I still struggle to start a new pad of paper, the stroking and admiring period can last ages before the scissors arrive!
I kept the embellishment fairly simple as hubby doesn't do fussy!

As it's Christmas, I glittered his hat ... me ... his pom pom .... the desk and floor!

Have a great day whatever you're doing and thanks for visiting!

Maybe tomorrow ....

Christmas shopping!

Hi Folks!

Yay, it's Friday - I began to think the weekend would never arrive.....

I'm on a roll with Christmas cards - this is the third one this week!! I won this gorgeous Stampendous stamp on Ebay over the summer, it was in a  job lot of three new cling Xmas stamps which I got for £2.20 - I do love a bargain. Here it is in it's first outing :

I think this must be a lady polar bear because
1. She has gorgeous eyelashes
2. She has sorted out, bought and wrapped Christmas parcels and it isn't even Christmas Eve!

She is coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers along with some flower soft 'snow' and a good sprinkle of glamour dust. The papers are all from my scraps folders, the darker one is from The Snowman range and the other one was a magazine freebie, all finished off with my favourite Christmas die by Memory Box and some gems.

I was inspired by the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I'm joining the fun over at Snippets playground, I haven't managed to play along for a while so I'm heading over to say hello to Di and Parsnip who are up to week 255

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp on Wednesdays - Christmas critters
Word Art Wednesdays - Anything goes
Passion for promarkers - Christmas is coming
Crafty Creations - Animals
Cute Card Thursdays - Christmas / Holidays
CRAFT - Christmas
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas extra - Anything Christmas
As you like it - favourite Christmas colour combo - for me the image really tends to dictate the colour I choose to use, but if I'm receiving a card I do love a more contemporary palette, especially with purple or lilac!

I'm hoping to get to the Craft show at Excel tomorrow - perhaps it will boost my Christmas spirit??

Charge of the light brigade

Hi Folks!

I've decided my blog posts are a bit like buses, nothing for ages and then suddenly two at once!

Good news - I've made another Christmas card - that makes 3! Once again, I was inspired by this fab sketch at Sketch Saturday:

Christmas is coming ....

Morning Folks!

Long time no see I know, but I'm just popping on to let you know that the new challenge is just starting over at Sparkles Monthly:

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

Now, don't panic anyone, we still have a few weeks to go yet, remember we haven't started the advent calendar choccys! However, if you are as disorganized as me this might be the perfect inspiration needed to get another card ticked off the list!! This one has doubled the number in my box !!

It's funny, despite having lots of Christmas stamps, there are always a few favourites that I seem to reach for - in my world, Christmas means James the Bear from LOTV!! Here he is in one of my fav crimbo colour combos, love lilac and silver together:

Sorry about the pants photo, think it's time to drag out the daylight bulbs for piccy taking!

Who could resist that face?? Perhaps he could do my Christmas shopping for me??

Thanks for visiting and for any comments you leave. Don't forget to head over to the Sparkles blog to see what the rest of the design team have made and to get all the challenge details.

I was inspired by this sketch at Sketch Saturday:

BOO!!

BOO!!

Hi Folks!
Hope everyone is OK? It's been quite a while since I posted but I'm here this morning to show you my DT project for the new challenge starting over at Sparkles Monthly where our new theme is

I PUT A SPELL ON YOU
(HALLOWEEN)

I decided to make a little gift bag which I plan to put some chocolate goodies in a bit nearer to October 31st - if I bought them now they wouldn't be around by the end of the month!!

The papers are all from my scraps folders, including the last piece of Doodlebug Halloween stripey paper which I have been hoarding for years. It just shouts Halloween to me!!
I added some very old chipboard thickers to make the 'Boo' sentiment, they have been hiding in my sticker drawer for at least 3 years!!

The cute kitty is of course by Penny Black and is called 'Beware of Cat' - he doesn't look very scary to me!!

Thanks for visiting today and do pop over to the Sparkles Monthly home page to see the great inspiration from the rest of the team!!

I'd also like to enter a few challenges:

Wednesday 17 August 2016

A little later than planned ....

Morning Folks!

Hope you're all enjoying the summer!
I'm running very late with my DT post for the new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly - I've been away for a few days and meant to schedule it before I left and then completely forgot - senile or what!! Anyway, hopefully better late then never is my card for the August challenge which is

LOTS OF LAYERS

A couple of weeks ago, I was hunting around to find a particular sentiment stamp in my stash, when I came across a few sheets of decoupage and toppers bought many moons ago. Have to say it was an odd collection, it's funny how much your taste can change, but this fairy appealed to me - perhaps because it's lilac / purple. I had also just been looking through my older papers which included the fairy background paper and so it seemed like 'fate' that I should put them together!!

We are sponsored this month by Helen who has kindly donated a set of stamps from

so someone is going to win a wonderful prize!!

Thanks for visiting, hopefully I'll get some crafting done soon but in the meantime there's a large bedroom to finish decorating - wish me luck!!
