Strawberry Mouse

Hello Folks!
Hope everyone is OK? I'm posting in a hurry today as I'm nearly too late for Gerda Steiner's progressive challenge. I've had all month to play with this super cute digi and here I am posting in the final hours! I do have a feeble excuse though - I couldn't get my computer to talk to my printer all last week. Typically, technical support a.k.a. my husband was away, so I had to wait for him to work his magic when he got back!
Anyhow enough waffle, here's my card:

The papers were a free gift from Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine in 2009 - I knew it was worth keeping them all this time as they were perfect for this little chap - LOL!!

Party Pup

Morning Folks!
It was my turn to choose the new challenge theme at  at Passion for Promarkers this week - hope you like my choice which is to

USE 3 or MORE PATTERNED PAPERS

Our sponsors, Digi Stamp Boutique kindly gave the DT images to play with, I'm using New Year Pup which you can find here. I thought this cute little chap would be perfect for all sorts of celebrations. I have used my 'current favourite' papers, Dovecraft More or Less, I love the bold colour combinations. I kept the design fairly CAS because I think the papers provide a lot of interest and I also wanted it to be for a male relative!

He looks like he is having a good time!

The Sentiment is from a Humphrey's Corner stamp set.

Don't forget to pop over to

Sympathy Tree

Morning Folks!
Hope you're all OK and looking forward to the weekend - I'm planning on watching the tennis! As we are halfway through the month ( how did that happen?) there is a new challenge starting over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges.
We'd like to see
THINKING OF YOU/ SYMPATHY CARDS

Confession time now, this is a very long way out of my comfort zone - I've only ever made one sympathy card before and I wasn't happy with it! Like most people they are not the type of card I enjoy making, but anyhow a challenge is a challenge .....
Here's my card which I have kept very CAS in the hope it looks more elegant!

The tree stamp was a magazine freebie from years ago, possibly Craft Stamper? Stamped with Old Olive Ink from Stampin' Up and finished with matching ribbon. Sentiment is also from a Stampin' Up set called 'Simply Sketched'.

Decopatch Rudolph

Morning Folks!
Yipppee, it's the weekend!
We have a new challenge over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE today and the theme is:

CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

We'd like to see decorations on your makes or you could make a decoration.

I've tried something crafty that I've never done before - decopatch. I saw this being done at a craft fair before Christmas last year, bought all the stuff needed and then ran out of time. So here better late than never and appropriate for this challenge is Rudolph:

I had great fun making this, it's very relaxing just sticking the little bits of paper on - it reminded me of doing paper mache as a kid! I really like the way this came out, it's hard to see in the photo but the paper has a metallic hint about it and this looks a bit bronze like. I think it might make a nice table ornament. I debated for ages about adding eyes but I just didn't have the right thing, googly eyes are not the way to go. I might add something later but for now he is CAS!
