A Purple Flapper

Morning Folks!
It's the middle of the month and time for a new theme over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges, this time we would like to see you
USING PURPLE IN YOUR PROJECT

Simples!
Although purple is my favourite colour I don't use it that often when paper crafting. Over Easter, I was sorting through some old magazines and came across this fab Debbie Moore image which was the bonus gift in one of them. Perfect for this challenge! The purple background paper is a piece of antique 'handmade' paper which was all the rage yonks ago!!  I felt the image was crying out for some bling, so out came the gems and mirri card:

A mad trio of critters!

Morning Folks!
Yippee, it's a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, I'm not planning much - hopefully just a nice chilled out break! I do have some tidying to do in my craft room. I'm doing some serious downsizing of my papercrafting stash but in sorting things out I seem to be ending up in a bigger mess. I have some House Mouse and other stamps listed here on Ebay so hoping they sell, it would be nice to think they are going to a home where they will be loved and enjoyed - not just gathering dust!

If you're looking for something to do, the new challenge is just starting over at Penny Black Saturday Challenges , as usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES
The optional 'Extra' challenge this time is
MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND

I was a bit pushed for time this week so I passed on the optional extra and went for the Anything PB goes theme. I used a stamp which I bought last summer but that hadn't seen ink until now, this cute trio are from a T for transparent set called Cheerful Critters. I had a hunt through my scrap paper folders (that are once again bulging at the seams) and just added a quick die cut sentiment by cut and make from The Range.

Look at this mad trio - not a seatbelt in sight!!

I do hope you'll pop over to the main blog, just click on the picture below, to see the fabulous cards from the rest of the design team.
We're also looking forward to seeing your entries, we are generously sponsored by
The prize is a $20 voucher.

Let's see some holly!

Morning Folks!
We are celebrating a significent milestone over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE today - it's our 100th challenge!! I think that's pretty good going!!
 Our new theme is:
LET'S SEE SOME HOLLY

Here's my card, I actually saved some images from Christmas cards that were sent to us last year and this sweet robin image was one of them! I kept this card fairly CAS as I wanted the focus to be on the image and because I need some nice flat, cheaper to post cards for my December stash! Papers are rather appropriately Dovecraft Little Red Robin and some scraps from a First Edition Christmas pad.

Please click the piccy below to visit the main blog and see the inspiration from the rest of the design team! You have a whole month to join us, we'd love to see what you make!
