Morning Folks!
Hope you're all OK and have not been blown away by the recent high winds!
Thank goodness it's the weekend, I think I got far too used to relaxing over the festive period, work seems to be hard going!!
Talking of relaxing here's my card for the new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' this week which is
GIRLY BUT NO PINK
kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up
Here's the vision in blue but NO pink!
I had a real struggle with this - I'm not good at girly cards at the best of times and I think Mr Mojo might have got packed in the loft along with the Christmas decorations. Eventually I decided on using this fun image from Bugaboo called Dottie Bath and the sketch over at Passion for Promarkers :
Here's the bathing beauty and check out the glitter - still on my desk from Crimbo! As I was colouring this it crossed my mind that she probably won't be too happy when she gets out of the bath to find the floor flooded and the downstairs ceiling about to cave in!!
I'm quite pleased with the finished result, it does look something like I imagined, and also I used up some paper scraps and some glass dewdrops that haven't seen the light of day for years. I'm determined to limit my crafty spending this year and try to use up some of my stash before I rush to buy the latest thing or special offer. Have to say though the 'stash diet' is harder going than I thought it would be ... trying not to crack and we are only just into double figures in January!!
Thanks for looking and for any comments too!

A lovely girly card. I'm trying to use up crafty stash, too and it's not easy, is it? Too much temptation out there for me! xx

Love this one Jacky! It's fun and definitely girly! Great sketch, lovely blues- that 'bubbly' paper matches perfectly with the cute and funky image! I like the glass dewdrops too! I do hope her ceiling doesn't cave in though, not a good start to the new year!
ReplyDeletePS Thanks for the beautiful birthday card :)

Super card Jacky! And well done on using up stash. I just never seem to get to the bottom of the stash pile cos there's always something being added to the top.
