Pink Butterfly gift box!

I'm late, I'm late, Oh how embarassing I'm late posting my project for my second guest DT spot over at
I'm sooo sorry girls!
Anyway, I don't know about you but I'm all Christmassed out! I've only got one last family card to put the finishing touches on and I'm done - thank heavens! The girls over at Creative Craft Challenges have a nice 'Anything goes' challenge and so I decided to ditch the snowflakes in favour of something pink and girly for my friends birthday next month - a little gift box to hold a piece of jewellery! Here it is:

The idea for this little box came from a packet of ready cut gift boxes from Poundland. There are several different box types flat packed in the packet and so I just used them as cardboard templates! A bit fiddly to cut out but great fun to decorate!! I have used a fairly stiff paper from the Henbury Lane collection and some glitter card by DCWV.

The little tag is a nesties label attatched with ribbon and the butterflys are a Dovecraft punch.

The roses have been wired to the top handles and glammed up a bit with a hint of stickles!!

Thanks for looking and I do hope your festive preparations are going OK!
Don't forget to visit Creative Craft Challenges - there are TWO great prizes on offer!!

As usual I can't resist entering a few challenges:
Paperplay - Anything but a card
Allsorts - Anything goes
CES Challenges - Anything goes
Die Cut Dreams - how girly can you get?
&
Papertake weekly - Anything goes

Take 1 sheet die cuts.....

Morning All! hope everyone is OK, Ive been back from my holidays for nearly a week but have been spending quite a bit of time painting the new extension! Still it is beginning to look good and I can't wait for it all to be finished so I can get back to 'normal'! Enough waffling from me, here are my latest creations:

I'd like to enter these into the following challenges:

Charisma cardz: Use Die cuts

Paperplay Challenges: Pink to make the boys wink!

PaperCutz challenge: Anything goes!

I was having a bit of a browse through my stash and I came across this die cut sheet sheet of cutie bears from Lili of the Valley which I bought at the Make it show earlier in the year. I have just ordered the stamp from the website along with some other goodies from their new releases, so while I am waiting for them to arrive I thought I should use up some of the die cuts.

I made the card first using the sketch on LOTV. I cut out the die cut with Nestabilities labels 12 set, inked the edges and added some glitter to the butterflies wings. The papers are 'Henbury Lane' by Papermania.

When I had finished the card I sat looking at the scraps on my desk and decided to make a little tag to go with it using one of the smaller die cuts. The background paper on this one is DCWV (I think) and the flowers are by Prima with a bit of added glamour dust.

I'd like to enter the tag into the challenge at Die Cut Dreams: Use a tag but no stamping at all!

While I was looking through my stash I also found a paper mache box, so that also got decorated. It was so much fun, I haven't decorated a box in ages and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy doing them. Again the papers are from 'Henbury Lane' and the ribbons and pearls are from Hobbycraft. The inside is painted with white acrylic paint and then glossed over with Sparkle Mod Podge to give it some extra glittery glamour!

I'd like to enter the box into the following challenges:
Crafts & Me: Petals and pearls
Allsorts: Minature 3"
Simon Says Challenge: Make a gift (My plan is to give the box to a crafting friend with some goodies inside - flowers, charms etc)
Good news too - I still have 6 diecuts left to play with!
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

P.S. Can anyone else smell gloss paint?.....

Party Owl

This is my second post today, so I guess you can probably tell there has been NO i***ing done !! This card was a rare flash of inspiration for me, well very rare in fact... I had some nesties laying on my desk waiting to be tidied away and also 'Birthday Hoot' from Pink Gem, waiting to be put into a CD case for storage. Anyways, I suddenly realised that the owl fitted the hexagon really well and then I remembered the crafty cardmakers challenge this week which is 'Inside out' so I thought why not put the owl inside (3rd piccy down) and make her a little window to look out of!! Not exactly genius I know, but I'm happy LOL!! Coloured the owl with promarkers and mounted onto a hexagonal piece of Bazzill bling. The balloon paper is from Dovecraft birthday stack, birthday brad and ribbon are both from my stash. Tricky bit was getting the bow right.....still not 100% sure about it. I'd like to enter Mrs Owl into the following challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers : Inside out
A spoonful of sugar: Celebrations
My time to craft: Vivid colours (hope this is bright enough!)
By the cute & girly: Celebrations
Passion for promarkers: Anything goes
Stampavie and more: Happy birthday for a girl
Paperplay: Up in the air (the balloons!!)
The Crafty Pad challenge: Over the edge (the ribbon)
O.S.A.A.T. : Furry friends ( & birds!)
Thanks for looking!
