Had a fantastic time at 'Make It' at Farnborough yesterday and spent way too much money!

Couldn't resist taking a break from the housework today to have a quick play with my new nesties!! I have been wanting to play at Critters and Cogs challenge at Pollycraft all week so I made a last minute entry using the handsome Spike! Love the way he has had a bite of cupcake first! I have to admit that green is not my fav colour but it is my son's and he wants to send this to a friend, so I hope that's OK? There is a hint of yellow on there which IS my fav colour!! I'm also very pleased with myself as all the papers came out of my scrap box!!

Here I am at last with my card for the new colour challenge at CRAFT, been having a few camera problems!

and only inked up once before - disgraceful!!

I really went to town (by my standards!!)

Cheddar for Dad's Birthday

Hi Everyone!

An unusual post for me today - I don't normally get to post at midday unless it has been scheduled in advance - I'm loving have a few days off!! This morning, I have finished a special birthday card for my Dad who will be celebrating on Thursday! I've used this lovely Cheddar stamp from Sugar Nellie, love this one for cards for men who don't do football or golf!

I followed the sketch over at The Sugar Bowl and the photo inspiration and kept it fairly simply embellished with a little card candy as I don't think Dad would go for the Fussy look!!

Here's my card, using Lillie with tulips and lots of Prima flowers! The paper is from my stash, I think it is by K & Co but not sure of the name. Cardstock is Bazzill, image is coloured with promarkers (what else!!) and the brads are by American Crafts.

I got to play with a cute little confetti box from Toucan, so quick to cut out and put together!

I've added a ribbon, flower, frosted flower bead (recycled from toiletries packaging!!) and gem brad. Couldn't resist adding a little silver cord handle to make a little 'handbag' style box.

Will definitely be making more of these!!
