Hamish fixing his tractor

Morning Folks!
Long time no see I know, but things have been a bit mad here lately. I'm having my kitchen gutted and altered so at the moment I have no floor or ceiling and wires dangling everywhere - I just keep telling myself it will be lovely when it is finished!! On the positive side, it is the perfect excuse to hide away in my craft room and play. Talking of playing, the new challenge starting at Sweet Stampin' this week is

BOYS AND THEIR TOYS

I had a rummage through my stash and this is what I came up with, quite pleased because everything is pretty old:

The stamp is a very old Sugar Nellie one called Hamish Fixing Tractor which I bought in the sale years ago just because it was cute, then like a lot of things it got put in the drawer and has only just seen daylight again. I think it has now been discontinued. The papers are K&Co Hopscotch and the embossing folder is 'replacements' by Couture Creations. I've no idea where the sentiment came from, it could be a magazine freebie but I'm not sure??

Thanks for popping by today and for any comments you leave, I love reading them!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Inky Chicks - Use a metal embellishment
Aud Sentiments - Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Build it up
Dream Valley - Embossing (wet or dry)
A Gem of a Challenge - Brithday Wishes
The Sugar Bowl - Anything goes with a sugar nellie image

Now I'm off for a nice cup of tea with bonus brick dust!!

Christmas Cookies

Hi Folks!
Long time and no action on my blog, but life has been hectic lately! Still good news, I have now finished work for the summer holidays so I've got a BIG smile on my face!!
The new challenge is just starting over at Sweet Stampin' , this week we have chosen a theme which has become something of a blogging tradition at this time of year:

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Now, I have to raise my hand and admit I don't usually start my Christmas cards until at least December (I only make ones for special family members) so getting out the Christmas supplies on a hot day seemed all wrong!! Still at least this will be one less card to make in a mad rush!
The stamp is of course by House Mouse and the papers are magazine freebies from years ago!

Here's the close up view, a really mixture on this -
promarkers, flexmarkers, distress ink and glitter pen.

At least the glitter and the fluff on the little mouse's hat dried quickly in the hot weather - before I stuck my finger in it!!

Also used my new poinsettia dies from Robert Adams that I bought way back in February!!

Thanks for visiting today!
I'd also like to join the following challenges:
Gruffies and Guests - Lazy Days or anything goes
Stamping Sensations - Feature a Creature
