Another Birthday Dog

Afternoon Folks!

Hope you all had a good Easter weekend, did you eat too much chocolate?? I got back from visiting family a little later than expected so I'm just adding my Passion for Promarkers post!

This week, the new challenge is to  

USE YOUR FAVE STAMP OR DIGI

No prizes for guessing that I used a Penny Black stamp!! This one is called Birthday dog and is usually my 'go to' stamp for masculine cards but this time I have coloured him (or her) in grey shades with a softer pastel colour scheme:

 The sentiment is from a Penny Black T for Transparent set called 'Wonderful Day'

The papers are Docrafts Papermania. I did add some wink of Stella to the candles and hat but it isn't showing up too well.

Odd dog bouquet

Afternoon Folks!

It's a beautiful Spring day here - hope the sun is shining where you are! We have a new theme just starting over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges

FLOWERS OR RELIGIOUS (or both!)

Here's the card I made, I have very little in the way of religious themed stash, so I went with the flowers option and an Odd Dog digi from LOTV:

 Pleased to say that my camera is back up and running, it was a faulty memory card which I ended up 'extracting' with pliers!

The flower paper is by My Minds Eye and the die cut is by Cottage Cotz.

Morning Folks!

It's my turn to choose the theme for the new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers this week, so I hope you like my choice which is:

EMBOSSING (Wet or Dry) 

I have lots of embossing folders but rarely think to use them, so this theme was to give me a kick in the right direction!! 

Here's my card with apologies for the pants picture, my usual camera has died I think?? It has a memory card stuck in it and won't let it go, whilst telling me that there is no SD card! I'm going to attack it with a pair of needle ended pliers shortly ....

I bought this unbranded paw prints embossing folder from a craft show years ago and I think I have only used it once before! The stamp is a PB favourite called Dressed Up. I do love a dog in a tie!!

Hopping into Spring

It's the weekend!!! I've not got great plans just trying to catch up with a few jobs and then hopefully spending some time card making. 

The new challenge is just starting over at Penny Black Saturday Challenges , as usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES

FRESH SPRING COLOURS

I thought Spring was definately on it's way last week but it seems to have taken a pace backwards - it's a bit nippy here! When I made this card, there was hail hitting the window - sigh! 
I've used an old favourite PB stamp called 'Jump for Joy', I'm never sure whether this is a frog or a toad but he certainly looks cheerful!

Hope everyone is well? We have just come back from a short stay in Norwich to pick up my son from Uni. I thought I would be able to do my Sparkles Christmas post while we were away, but the WiFi in the hotel was pants!! So, here I am playing catch up again ....
