A cow on a bicycle?

It's time for my mid way reminder post for the challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. As usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES, the optional 'Extra' challenge this time is  

ON THE MOVE = TRANSPORT

Here's my card using a stamp I 'rescued' from Ebay in a job lot, this one is called  'For a spin...' and it just makes me smile. I think it is the mental image of a cow wobbling along riding a bicycle, there's something very 'Wallace and Gromit' about it.

STAMP YOUR BACKGROUND

(No designer papers)

 over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges this month. My mojo seems to have been buried in the piles of stash that I'm still trying to tidy up, and as a fan of designer paper this challenge was a bit outside my comfort zone! I decided to have a look at Pinterest for some inspiration - wasted another hour - but I was inspired by the Triple Time Stamping Technique and a great tutorial here. I used stamps from the Stampin' Up Petite Petals and Itty Bitty Banners sets to make this:

I have to say this came out better than I expected, my biggest problem was thinking in inches - my brain has gone to fluff over the summer holiday! With hindsight, I think I should have used a bigger stamp or added some leaves or something because there is a bit too much white space for my taste. It would have been quite a quick card to make if I hadn't spent ages looking for some repositional tape to 'anchor' the stack of white layers. Might try this one again when Mr Mojo is not quite so fragile!!

Hope you have something fun planned for the weekend, we have family visiting for a few days - it will be lovely to catch up!

At first, I had a slight panic when I saw the optional theme  - but after a good shuffle through my PB collection I realised there are lots of stamps which would be appropriate!  In the end, it was hard to decide which one to use - eventually I settled on this one called 'Scooting Along'. 

He is coloured with promarkers and pencils.

A Cute Nativity

Morning Folks!

Goodness me, how are we starting August already?? This year is going far too quickly for me!

I have started am ambitious project this summer holiday - to de- clutter my house! I'm already thinking I might have bitten off more than I can chew and I haven't even done a whole room yet. Hopefully, the charity shops will be pleased to take my first installment of bags tomorrow!

Anyway, enough waffling from me, I'm here to share a Christmas card 

Yes, it will be Christmas before we know it too ....

Over at Sparkles Christmas Monthly Challenges, Caz has choosen the fantastic theme of

A KRAFTY CHRISTMAS

Here's the card I made using a very old image from Digistamp Boutique called Cute Nativity Boy and Girl. 

This image really reminds me of infant school nativity plays with old sheets and T- Towels as costumes! It was really quick to colour with the trusty promarkers. The papers are a mixture of Craft Creations, Wellington and some scrapbooking offcuts! 

As the image is quite simple, I just finished the card with some twine and a greeting tag from LOTV.
