James in a Santa Hat and a little farewell

Morning Folks!
This is a sad post to write but after much thought I have decided to step down from all my Design teams and to take a break from card making and blogging for a while... Life just gets in the way sometimes and I'm not actually enjoying making cards as much as I used to. I'm going to focus on hobbies, mainly crochet and cross stitch, that are a little more 'portable' and which I find easier to fit into my limited crafty time.
It feels a little strange to say that this is my last card for Passion for Promarkers
I've had a lot of fun over the last few years with the PFP themes and I'd like to wish Denise and all the rest of the fabulous DT all the very best for the future!

On a positive note, this is not just any challenge - it is the MEGA CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE !
The theme is Anything goes!
My card features the adorable James the Bear from LOTV (an old favourite) and First Edition papers:

Don't forget to pop over to
to see what the rest of the design team have made!
This week we are generously sponsored by multiple sponsors who are offering some wonderful prizes to our lucky winners!
All the details are on the main PFP blog post

Thank you to everyone who has visited my blog over the years and for all the kind comments - they mean so much to me xx

Don't forget your hat!

Afternoon Folks!
I'm chasing my tail again!
The new challenge started yesterday over at Penny Black Saturday Challenges , as usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES
The optional 'Extra' challenge this time is
SPARKLE AND SHINE
I'm sorry to say this is going to be my last post as a member of the PBSC design team. There just aren't enough hours in the day lately to do everything, and sadly card making is becoming another 'to do' rather than a pleasure.  I've had a lot of fun over the last few years with PBSC themes and I'd like to wish Helen and the rest of the DT all the very best for the future!
Here's my card, it had to include Penny Black hedgehogs as this is why I first fell in love with PB stamps. This one is called 'What a Snow':
I've doubled checked and although the card looks a bit lop sided, it isn't. I think it might be some optical illusion with the red stripey paper!
Not the best picture, but I hope you can see the fluff on the hat and the sparkly pom pom.
I do hope you'll pop over to the main blog, just click on the picture below, to see the fabulous cards from the rest of the design team.
We're also looking forward to seeing your entries, we are generously sponsored by
The prize is a $20 voucher.

Thanks for visiting today and for any comments you leave.

Mr Bird and Mr Scarf

Morning Folks!
The new challenge is just starting over at Penny Black Saturday Challenges , as usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES
The optional 'Extra' challenge this time is
TAGS
I've made a couple of tags using Mr Bird and Mr Scarf from Penny Black, which are both about 1" round. The background die cut is a nestie and I've added a little glitter sticker to each one, after all it's not really Christmas without glitter!

I do hope you'll pop over to the main blog, just click on the picture below, to see the fabulous cards from the rest of the design team.

Be Naughty!

Morning Folks!
This is the last post I'll be writing as a member of the SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE  Design team :-(
There just aren't enough hours in the day to do all the things I'd like to lately! I have enjoyed my Sparkles time and it has really helped me to be more organized when December arrives!

The new theme for this month is a good one:
MAKE US LAUGH
Bugaboo images and their sassy sentiments often make me chuckle, so here is my card using Stella Christmas Sled. I think we all know someone like Stella!

 Love the sour expression!

The background paper is from The Works, tree die is by Die'sire and the snow scene is just ripped paper with sparkles and glamour dust added along the edges.

It's Snowtime!

Morning Folks!
The start of a new month, which means that we have a new challenge over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE today and the theme is:
IT'S SNOWTIME
I'm trying to be good this year and use some of my older Christmas stamps and papers rather than buying lots of new things. This papers on this card are all odds and ends from my scrap box which have been in there for ages, no idea what they are but I think they go together! The stamp and sentiment are of course LOTV:

Here's the close up view - the stickles had just about dried when I took this piccy!!!

Bailey the Reindeer

Back again!
Yep, it's me popping up yet again today, to let you know that we have a new challenge starting over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE and the theme is:

REINDEER

This challenge is perfect for me, as you know I mainly enjoy colouring up animal stamps. When I saw the theme, I had just the stamp in mind that I wanted to use. I had a dig around in my digi collection and found this super cute reindeer from Digistamp Boutique. Still sad the shop has closed because it was one of my very favourite digi stamp suppliers :-(
Please meet Bailey:
 Love that sweet expression:
Card Details
Papers - Docraft's - The night before Christmas and Karen Foster scrapbooking paper
Bailey coloured with promarkers, pencils and gel pen
Glossy accents on nose
Die cuts - Memory Box
Gems and Ribbons - Art of Craft

Let's see some holly!

Morning Folks!
We are celebrating a significent milestone over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE today - it's our 100th challenge!! I think that's pretty good going!!
 Our new theme is:
LET'S SEE SOME HOLLY

Here's my card, I actually saved some images from Christmas cards that were sent to us last year and this sweet robin image was one of them! I kept this card fairly CAS as I wanted the focus to be on the image and because I need some nice flat, cheaper to post cards for my December stash! Papers are rather appropriately Dovecraft Little Red Robin and some scraps from a First Edition Christmas pad.

The new challenge theme over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE is:

FEATURE A CREATURE

Here's my card, I am slowly working mmy way through some LOTV toppers I found in my stash:
It's a bit hard to see in the picture but I have added some stickles to the image and also some fluff to the penguins hat:

Jolly Snowy

Hello again!
As promised earlier I'm back again to share my DT card for
Penny Black Saturday Challenges

The new challenge is just starting, as usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES, the optional 'Extra' challenge this time is
WINTER OR CHRISTMAS

I'm still in need of Christmas cards so I went with that option using this very cute Snowman stamp which is called Jolly Snowy - very appropriate as he has a big smile on his face. The green paper is by First Edition and always makes me think of woolly jumpers.

He is coloured with promarkers and pencils along with a good sprinkle of glamour dust and stickles.

Fancy Folds

Morning Folks!
As the first of December falls on a Saturday, I have two DT posts to share with you today. Here's the first, I'll be back shortly with my PBSC post too!

The new challenge theme over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE is:

FANCY FOLDS

I have to be honest here, I did cheat a bit with this theme because I had some ready scored Spring Fold cards in my stash from Every Crafts A Pound. No point in ignoring them again, they've been in my stash for years so about time they saw daylight. If you are looking for a tutorial on this fold this one is excellent. I also 'rediscovered' some LOTV toppers bought from Ebay in amongst some old papers so I used one of those too!

Apologies for the slightly dark picture, it's been so gloomy here all week :-(
