Morning Folks!

Yay, the Easter long weekend has started!! Sadly so too has the rain, it's very dull here - perhaps a good excuse to settle back with a hot cross bun and a cuppa??

I don't usually make Easter cards, but this year I did need to send a couple so I thought I'd share them this weekend. I don't have that many specific Easter stamps but this Messy Rabbit stamp from Joanna Sheen always makes me think of Spring. Papers are all from my scraps folders (which look just as jam packed as ever) along with flowers and card candi from my stash.

Isn't she just so cute wearing her daisy chain!

Morning Folks!

Yay, it's the weekend!! I'm hoping to grab a bit of crafting time, I've had Flu and didn't even make it into my craft room for over a week - not good!! Just popped by this morning to share my card for the new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' which is to

USE A SENTIMENT AS THE FOCUS

Have to admit my choice of stamps for this challenge was severely limited, most of my sentiments are teeny weeny! I bought this Woodware stamp last year, because it made me smile but this is the first time it has been used. It's hard to see from the photo but it's been heat embossed in metallic copper. The papers are Swagger by Fancy Pants - this one always reminds me of pyjamas! I decided to make an easel card for a change and cut out the sentiment with an x cut die to make a sign. Finished with a few eyelets and a brad!!

Morning Folks!

Hope everyone is OK? I'm waiting for the warmer weather to arrive.... in the meantime I've got quite a bright and cheerful card to share today!

This week  at Sweet Stampin' we are celebrating St. Patrick's Day with the theme:

USE GREEN

I have to admit that green isn't a colour I normally reach for but I found this piece of flowery paper in my scraps folder and it really inspired me. The cute 'Girl Turtle' is from Bugaboo, coloured with promarkers. All of the embellishments are pretty old too - felt flowers (Queen & Co), pearls (Ebay), and the hessian ribbon and pink flowery braid were both from my stash.

Love the cute expression!

Morning Folks!

Can someone please tell me where the last week has gone? I think I missed it, I had great plans to get lots of things sorted over half term but not many of those plans have worked out!! Yesterday I was waiting for deliveries from Tesco, Amazon and Currys and I couldn't settle to do anything!!

Still on the plus side, I now have a lovely shiny new chest freezer in the garage - I just need to get cooking now!!

As it's Saturday (yep, really) we have a new challenge starting over at Sweet Stampin' which I think might cheer you up if like me you are getting sick of wintery, dull and drizzly days. This time we'd like to see some 

SPRING FLOWERS

Something a bit different from me this week, I visited my sister last weekend and we were playing around with some of her Stampin' Up goodies - this is my attempt at painting with distress inks!

Not something I would normally try but it was quite fun!!

I'm sure you can't have failed to notice that there is some kind of romantic event next weekend!! We are joining in the fun over at Sweet Stampin' with our super easy and very appropriate new challenge:

ADD A HEART

This card is going to be for my husband, if he's good ;-) so I've kept it very clean and simple as he doesn't really do fussy! The papers are Forever Friends from my stash. The PB stamp is called Hot Pants - another one that has hardly seen ink in it's life. Sentiment and matching die from Stampin' Up. The little die cut hearts are from Memory Box, my last purchase before starting the stash diet at New Year!!

Isn't he cute! Also can you see the glossy accents on the balloon?

Birthday Sheep

Evening Folks!

How are ewe?? Yep, corny joke I know!

Just popping by to share today's make which is a birthday card for my sister who is mad about sheep!! Choosing the image was easy, I was lucky enough to win some images from Bugaboo last year and choose this one especially for my sister's card:

I coloured her up with promarkers last week but then lost all inspiration until I spotted this fab sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I do love a good sketch to follow and ta da, here's the finished card!!

The sentiment comes with the image, I just cut it to fit the space. The purple dot paper is by papermania (a new sheet) but the other pieces are all from my scraps folders. The glittery card on the star die cuts is very shimmery IRL and I finished them with some stripey candy dots which if I remember right came from My Mum's craft shop.

Caffeine high!

Afternoon Folks!

I've been trying to sort out the old files I transferred to my new computer and getting increasingly frustrated with windows 8!! I thought it best to take a break, before the air gets any more blue, so I'm sharing this card that I finished at the weekend. 

Pretty simples: House mouse decoupage sheet (from the large collection - lots still to cut out!), papers from LOTV and a couple of square brads from my stash.

This image just makes me smile - those coffee beans must be quite strong!
