If friends were flowers....

This week over at C.R.A.F.T we have a challenge which I think is going to prove very popular!!
Our theme is :
Fancy Floral

We also have a lovely prize up for grabs from our sponsor :

For my card I have used a Personal Impressions stamp & sentiment from a set that I bought back in March at 'Make It' - can't believe it is the first time this one has been inked up!! My papers are a combination of K&Co and Henbury Lane. As usual my image has been coloured with promarkers and I have added a few flowers stickers (with added gems) from my stash.
I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly: Great sketch!
Everybody Art: Friends and
The Crazy Challenge: No ribbons or buttons
Thanks for looking

Here he is...

Happy Sunday folks - I do hope that Mr Blogger posts this for me!!

So did you manage to guess the theme for this weeks challenge over at OSAAT from the sneek peeks yesterday??? Here's the complete view of my card, I used the adorable Bunny Blu digi stamp by Stitchy which you can find here. How could anyone not fall in love with that forlorn little face...

The little chap is coloured with promarkers and I paper pieced his little dungarees using a scrap from my overflowing box, I think it is by MME but I'm not totally sure. The other papers are by MME , love these, especially for masculine cards. The sentiment is computer generated, printed onto a scrap of paper and then used to cover a piece of chipboard. I love the chunkiness chipboard adds to mens cards!

It's a great challenge over at OSAAT - forgot to say it's an 'Anything Goes' challenge in case you hadn't guessed - and we have a fab sponsor:

Plus don't forget if you use an image from the store, you will be entered into the draw to win an extra special prize from Stitchy!! You might like to check out the new halloween digis that are now avaliable!!

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

Love Jacky x

Mr Cool Cat!

Happy Thursday Folks - well this should be posted on Thursday if Mr Blogger behaves himself!!

Here's my card for the new challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. which starts today. This week we are asking you to create a card that is suitable for a teenager. This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Toucan Scraps and the DT were lucky enough to be given some of Angelas fab new City Street digi papers to play with.

I wanted an image to go with the papers from Toucan scraps and after looking through my digi collection, I came up with this cartoon cat from Bugaboo, he is called Crabby Cat and I love the cool attitude! I added some text over the brick wall papers, some textured matt silver card - et voila!! Here's the inside :

Much preferred this challenge to going without my promarkers last time at CRAFT!! I hope you will be able to come over and join us this week, we look forward to admiring all your creations.
Bye for now,

Picture Perfect!

The challenge this time over at Lexi's Creations is 'Picture Perfect', in other words to include a photo in your creation. I used a picture of my son taken in all the snow we had earier in the year to make a rather special christmas card. I think it might be going to my Great Auntie as I think she'll appreciate it and it will make a nice change from a school photo!! I used the lovely Sammie Snowman (you can find him here ), printed him onto pearlescent card for a bit of sparkle, coloured with promarkers and sakura gel pens. His hat has had some Doodlebug crushed velvet added to resemble snow and I also added some stickles for a bit of sparkle.
The snowflakes were made using a cuttlebug die and layered up with a gem and the whole card was finished with a length of gorgeous pom pom braid which was a present from my sister - thanks Sharon!!!

Head on over to Lexi's Creations to take a look at the rest of the design teams fab creations and join in for the chance to win a fantastic prize from our sponsors Letraset!!
I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
MAWTT : Christmas
Just Inspirational Challenges : Christmas card time
Fussy & Fancy : Christmas colours
Thanks for looking, see you soon...

Molly Cat with Birdhouse

ANOTHER FIRST TODAY!!

My first post as a DT member for C.R.A.F.T. - more excitement!! I'm chuffed to bits to be a part of this very friendly team and am looking forward to some good challenges ahead!

This weeks challenge over at C.R.A.F.T. is to ONLY use colouring pencils to colour in your image. I didn't think this sounded too diffcult at first but after my second attempt joined the first effort in the bottom of the bin, I began to have my doubts .... I missed my promarkers...

Anyway, here is my card using my third attempt at colouring the very cute 'Molly Cat with Birdhouse' image from our sponsor this week, The Crafty Pad

The yellow cardstock is from the Paper Mill shop, the stripey paper is from te Papermania capsule collection & the ribbon and gem flower are from my stash. the sentiment is computer generated and cut out with nesties.

So if you think you can go 'cold turkey' and colour without your favourite Promarkers, copics etc and you'd like to be in with a chance of winning 2 Fab images of your choice from:
Head on over to the challenge at C.R.A.F.T. !!

I'd also like to enter this card into the 'Fun with Folds' challenge over at Our Creative Corner too!

Thanks for looking and bye for now...

Special day!

Today is a special day for me as it is my first DT post over at One Stitch at a Time (Big smile on my face!!) and I have been able to join in with a very special charity challenge to help people coping with Autism. Check out the prize list at the end of this post.....

One Stitch At A Time are challenging you to make a special "Rainbow Themed" card - Anything goes type of challenge, but must have a rainbow or the colors of a rainbow in your creation. The reason for this Rainbow challenge is in honor of a very special little guy named Cameron. You can read his story here
Here's a little history and the reason for this Super Challenge this week..

".A very very good friend of Stitchy's who is known in the digital world by the name "FUNKY" , has built a beautiful fundraiser blog for her grandson Cameron..He is autistic and Funky and her daughter are striving to help Cameron..Some of you may know Funky, she has been in the digital scrapping world for a very long time. If you could find it in your heart to help Funky and her little guy out, it will not go unrewarded. We know times are very hard for everyone right now, so if you can't give even a dollar, please don't feel bad, but please do go and read his story, he's quite a character lol..Thank you in advance to all that take part in this very special challenge - have fun & good luck!!! "

So here's my effort!!

I was thrilled to bits when I found out that I was going to use this fabulous unicorn image by Eiglas, isn't it lovely. At first I thought of doing a card but eventually I settled on a wall hanging which I think would look lovely in a little girls bedroom. I must apologise for the poor picture quality but my own point and shoot camera has died (sniff sniff) and by the time I got my husbands SLR beastie to co operate the light was rubbish and the sheen on the pearlescent card was causing problems. The image is coloured with a combination of Sakura glitter pens and promarkers, the backing paper is from Craftwork cards and the ribbons and brads are from a stash raid!!

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Paper Pretties: Use brads or eyelets

Fab n Funky: What'eva

Hippy Flower Power!

Hiya folks, now I'm hoping that if I manage to do this right it will be published on Monday morning, fingers crossed, to coincide with the new challenge over at Lexis Creations. This is my first DT post for Lexi's - can you tell I am quite excited !! The theme for this challenge is 'Flower Power', which my brain instantly computed as hippy 60's flower power for some reason! I have made an aperture card, first one in ages, using the adorable Hippy Scruffles which you can find at Lexis store here. Brace yourselves this card is quite bright!! Here's the front:

The flowery paper is from my stash, I think it is by Dovecraft but I'm not 100% sure. I've coloured Scruffles with promarkers, added a bit of glitter gel pen to the peace medallion and mounted him in a nesties frame. Here's a close up of the hippy hound:

The inside of the card has a computer printed 'Hippy Birthday' greeting using a free Hippy font from the internet & the pink solid paper is from the Henbury lane collection by Papermania.

Don't forget to check out the other fab DT creations over at Lexis and if you join in with the challenge you could win a super prize from Joanna Sheen!!
I'd also like to enter Scruffles in the challenge over at Charisma cardz - Inspired by a song, which in this case has to be "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)"
