All dressed Up!

Afternoon Folks!

Hope you're all OK? I don't seem to have been very productive on the card making front in the last couple of weeks, I've been doing a bit of gardening - not exactly my strong point but it is looking a bit better. 

I have managed to finish one card this week, using one of my favourite PB stamps for masculine cards. This handsome dog stamp is called 'All dressed Up' and works for lots of different occasions. 

My mojo was a bit lacking so I used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday - Week 412 as a starting point. 

Here's the finished card:

The papers are all from my scraps folders so no whole sheets were harmed!! As usual, I used promarkers to colour him and finished the card off with a few buttons and a LOTV tag.

Hi Folks!

Hope you've had a good weekend, I've been busy in the garden - not my natural habitat - but I have quite enjoyed pottering around in the sunshine. Who knew pressure washing could be fun??

Just dashing on to share a card before the challenge at Mojo Monday closes!

I've had my eye on these cute hedgehogs from Lawn Fawn for ages - I love hedgies which is how my Penny Black addiction got started!! I finally succumbed  and treated myself to them and the matching dies at the end of March but this is their 'first outing'. I justified my purchase because obviously they will be useful for so many occasions ....!! This card for my parents who celebrate their wedding anniversary soon - simples but cute!! The LF dies make it super quick to cut out the little critters too. 

The background paper is a scrap of Forever Friends Christmas paper and a bit of matching red card stock. Coloured with promarkers. Stampin Up border punch and dies from Simon Says stamp and Memory box.

To the Sweeties

Morning Folks!

It is a very sad post from me today as I have decided to step down from Sweet Stampin'. 

I think some of the Sweeties may be a little confused given the recent communication difficulties and problems with vanishing posts. As I wave goodbye I'd just like to ask you all to please re-read my opening sentence carefully. I have decided to leave SS by myself. There are many voices in my head at times, but as far as I am aware, no one else has suggested that I go anywhere or tried to shove me off a cliff. I think even I would have noticed … 

I have left simply because after witnessing recent events, but playing no role in them,  I sadly had no wish to stay.

The services of Miss Marple will not be needed.

I am happy in my own little place, but please know that my Welcome mat is outside and there is a doorbell at the top of my blog if you are passing. 

It has been so much fun being with you at SS Towers and something I shall miss greatly. I wish you all (Debbie included) happiness xx

Shower of Flowers

Afternoon Folks! 

Where has Spring gone? It's really grey and quite chilly here in Hampshire. 

I had great plans to do some serious tidying in my room today but pretty quickly I got distracted. I came across this super cute PB stamp that I must admit I had forgotten about. It seemed like a pretty good image to use for the 'Showers' challenge over at Penny Black on Saturdays so I made a card instead of tidying! Still I think this card will come in handy for some birthdays that are coming up!

The balloon is paper pieced with a scrap of glitter paper. The other papers are from LOTV and craftwork cards. Sentiment is LOTV and the image is coloured with promarkers and a touch of stickles in the flower centres.

Hippo Birdie Tag

 Morning folks!

 Long time no see I know, but I've been away for a few days in Amsterdam which was wonderful - such an interesting city and lots to do - I want to go back again. I've also been doing a bit of scrap booking and attempting to declutter the house, I've made a bit of progress but still a way to go yet!

Anyway, I actually popped on to show you my little creation for the new 'Tags' challenge over at Sweet Stampin .

 The stamp and die set is from Lawn Fawn and was very quick to colour and cut out! The papers are all from my scraps box but the amount in there doesn't ever seem to go down - could it be breeding in there when my back is turned?

A barrowful of Easter Eggs

Morning Folks!

 Sweet Stampin' is celebrating the season of Easter bunnies, chocolate and Hot Cross buns this week, it would be lovely if you could join us! To be honest, it doesn't seem five minutes since Christmas and here we are nearly Easter - where does the time go lately??

For my card I've blown the dust off a very old PB stamp and inked it up, this is really one of those stamps that only gets an outing once a year, it's called Barrowful. A very CAS design from me today as I was short of time and I also wanted the papers and cute image to be the stars of the show!!

Not sure where he is heading with a wheel barrow full of choccy eggs??

Unusual hair Colour!

Sadly my blog has been a little neglected lately, but I'm here this morning to share my DT inspiration for the new challenge just starting over at Sweet Stampin' where we would like to see 

UNUSUAL HAIR COLOUR

I was a long way outside my comfort zone with this challenge but I'm quite pleased with the final result. I rarely colour images of people, let alone girls with purple hair. The  Gorjuss girl stamp is a sneaky new purchase, called Poppy Wood from Docrafts. Quite a bargain at less than £2 and stamps beautifully - might be adding some more to my collection. The papers are from the same range.

Here's a closer look!! I want my hair this colour for the summer, I've had it a plum / purple but never managed something this vibrant!! Must talk to my hairdresser!!
