Romeo, O Romeo ....

Morning Folks!
I can't believe I haven't blogged anything for a fortnight, that's really bad but to be honest these first weeks of the year seem to have gone quickly. I feel like I need more hours in the day, or more energy to get things done or preferably both!!!
Anyhow, the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers is just starting and this week we would like to see projects
INSPIRED BY THE BIG SCREEN
When I first saw this theme, my mojo ran off and left me - I just couldn't think of a single film to go with a stamp in my collection ... but after pondering about it for a day or so, inspiration struck and I'd like to present a new interpretation of Romeo and Juliet!
I think a new version of the Shakespeare classic with teddies could work ....

Lost balls!!

It's me again Folks!
Back as promised with my second card of the day - this one is for the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers where the theme is
MASCULINE CARDS
Here's the card I made using a fab image from our sponsor Bugaboo called Gus Golf which you can find here. The hilarious sentiment is also included with the image. The diamond paper is very old - probably Dovecraft, it's been in my stash for years - I knew it would come in handy eventually!! I coloured the image to match the papers, cut it out with a square die from The Works, added a contrasting strip of paper and some card candi and that's it! I like making 'masculine' cards as I'm not great at lots of frilly finishing touches!!

Gus looks like a real grumpy old man to me!!

A New Cutie

Morning Folks!
It's another double bill from me today, first up is my card for the new Sparkles Monthly Challenge where the theme is:
NEW YEAR, NEW STASH

I didn't get any new papercrafting goodies for Christmas but I did pick up a fabulous set of lacey circle dies in The Works, early in December - amazing value for £3 - and this is their first outing. I got the stamp in a Facebook destash sale last year, I love the cute image but I have no idea of the brand or name. It's a red rubber stamp with Ez mount and stamps beautifully - if you recognise it, I'd love to know what it is!

 Here's a close up view:

The papers are Dovecraft Baby Steps and some from my scraps collection.

New Year, New Calendar

Morning Folks!
The first weekend of the New Year, although I'm still confused about exactly which day is which ....
After double checking, it is Saturday, so I can announce that the new challenge is just starting over at Penny Black Saturday Challenges!
As usual ANYTHING PENNY BLACK GOES
The optional 'Extra' challenge this time is
SOMETHING NEW

I didn't get any new paper crafting stash for Christmas, not because I was too naughty! - but Santa got me crochet things to play with instead!
I'm sharing my calendar for the NEW year:

This is a quick and simple make, I drilled two holes into the top of a cardstock coaster. Covered with a scrap of paper, added the coloured  image, called Buzz in the Air, a snippet of ribbon and some braid and a small felt flower. Calendar is attatched with a strip of cardstock on the back. Addred some twine and it is now hanging on my pinboard!

This little face always makes me smile and should brighten up the winter days ahead:

I do hope you'll pop over to the main blog, just click on the picture below, to see the fabulous cards from the rest of the design team.
We're also looking forward to seeing your entries, we are generously sponsored by
The prize is a $20 voucher.

Things to do ....

Morning Folks!
flashing Happy New Year animated

This is my second post of the day, I know everything seems to happen at once lately!!
The new challenge is just starting over at Passion for Promarkers, our theme this week is:

ADD A SENTIMENT

Here's my card, using an old favourite PB stamp called 'Things to do' coloured with promarkers and then chalked at the edges. The papers are antique, from a DCWV pad which must be 10 years old. I am trying very hard not to spend much money on stash this year, I think I already have enough stuff to last another decade and I'm running out of space to put things!

Here's a closer look, I used rub on letters - remember those?? - to write the sentiment:

A Glittery Snowflake

Morning Folks!

Happy New Year
Here's hoping it's a good one!
Now, I know we are only just getting over Christmas but we have a new challenge over at SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE today - remember there's nothing like getting ahead on those Christmas cards ready for this December!!!

 The theme is super easy:
ADD SOME SPARKLE

Here's my card, very CAS as I was running short of time! The snowflake die is from a set by Die'sire, I love the shape but it is quite large on a card with other things, so here it is starring on it's own:

It's not the best photo because it is quite dull here but I hope you can see the glittery white and silver card. The blue paper also has a slight glittery silver effect too!

Please click the piccy below to visit the main blog, we also have some new team mates for you to say hello to!
