James with presents

Afternoon Folks!

Just a quick post to share a card I finished last night, I treated myself to a new James the Bear Christmas stamp during the LOTV special offer recently and I thought I really should get some ink on it!! The papers are Crafter's companion - The Snowman and ribbons and pearls from my stash.

Here's the close up, the little date stamp is from the LOTV calendars set. Coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers. I couldn't resist adding some stickles and wink of stella.

I need to get a wiggle on because I want to enter a couple of challenges that are ending soon:

Love in a teacup .....

Morning Folks!
Gosh, Monday again .... where did the weekend go?
Still, there's a new challenge starting over at House Mouse and Friends where I'm a guest designer for July and August - BIG Smile! The new theme is:

RELAXING / ENJOYING LIFE

and here's my card, which I'm going to send to my Aunt and Uncle who are celebrating their golden wedding Anniversary at the end of August. I just thought it was a romantic image, not too traditional although I have included a couple of gold hearts and a charm.

I wonder what they are whispering to each other as they float along?

The decoupage is from Joanna Sheen, papers are from MME I think, sentiment is by Stampin' Up and the rest of the goodies are from my stash!

Hope you'll come over and play at House Mouse and Friends!

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:

Hang on!

Morning Folks!

Hope you're all fit and well and ready for a fun weekend??
I'm hoping the sun comes out again in the UK, we've had a thunderstorm and hail here in Hampshire this afternoon - not my idea of summer - I love it when it is HOT!!
I hope Mr Blogger is in a good mood and publishes this at the right time for me!

This weeks new challenge over at Sweet Stampin' is:

TAKE FLIGHT
(think butterflies, birds, planes, balloons etc)

Here's my card, another one of those cards that has come out totally different to the original idea I had in my mind... not sure if I like it or not really!!

The cute little bunny hanging on to his balloons for dear life is a Happy Hopper, coloured with promarkers and lots of glossy accents on the balloons. Cloud paper is from Craftwork cards, many moons ago and the clouds are an impression obsession die.

Thanks for looking, and by the way, we have a lovely prize on offer this week from:

Swim ring bunny

Morning Folks!

Last month, I was a lucky winner over at one of my all time favourite challenges - House Mouse & Friends Monday  - and as part of my prize I have been invited to join them all again as a guest designer for the next couple of months!! I'm thrilled and have a big smile on my face!!

This time around the new challenge is

IT'S ALL ABOUT SUMMER

but don't worry if you don't have anything summery, you can always join in with the alternative 'Anything goes' option as long as you use a Gruffies, House Mouse or Happy Hoppers image.

Here's my card, using a cute image from the Hopping Happy set by Joanna Sheen and digital papers from the Echo Park summer fun collection. The die cut waves are a memory box die, sentiment is Crafter's companion and the stripy candy dots are a new find from My Mum's craft shop.

Don't you just wish you could be like this rabbit with his feet up??
He's coloured with promarkers and you might just be able to see a little wink of stella on his glass.

Thanks for looking and I hope you'll join in at House Mouse & Friends.

I'd also like to enter the following challenges:

Allsorts - Splish, splash, splosh
As you like it - Animals or people - definitely animals for me, both for crafting and in real life. Animals have the cute factor and are often very loyal!

Snowman in July!!

Morning Folks!

It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Hampshire - I hope the weather is good with you!
Our new challenge is starting over at Sweet Stampin

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Now I think there are going to be two ways of looking at this:

If you are very organised, you can look at it as a way to add another wonderful Crimbo card to your growing collection.....

On the other hand, if like me you're not a fan of Christmas cards and usually leave it to the last minute, you could have a rummage around, try to find some Christmas stash and make a card. That way you can feel smug in the knowledge that you've made at least one card for the big event - ready to lose it again by December!!

Anyhow, here's my card ...

I blew the dust off this ever faithful snowman from LOTV, the papers are from The Snowman collection by Crafter's Companion and the ribbon and pom pom trim are from either Tesco or Asda wrapping department!! I got a bit carried away and heat embossed the sentiment - a good idea on a hot day!! The paper that looks dark grey in the photo is actually a dark silver texture - it does look better IRL  honest!

I even found some glitter for the snow!!

Hope you can join us at Sweet Stampin, check out the main blog for some lovely inspiration from the rest of team Fi.
