Exciting news!!

I am so excited to announce that I have been asked to join the DTs at Lexi's Creations and at One Stitch at a Time!! I really can't believe it, I'm thrilled to bits but also a little shocked and suprised at the same time - it seems amazing to me because I have only been blogging since February!! I'm looking forward to starting and hope that lots of peeps will join in with all the challenges - I've got my badges proudly displayed on my sidebar - click on them to find out the details !! Off now to do another happy dance around the lounge with a BIG grin on my face!!

Vintage car

Today's card was a mega fast one for me - I'm not normally a quick crafter but this one came together really quickly. The vintage car is from a sheet of 12" x 12" scrapbook paper by Graphic 45 which I bought at the beginning of the summer and have been admiring ever since!! Today I finally plucked up the courage to cut into it!!
The other papers were scraps from my box, Basic Grey and MME (I think) along with a recycled envelope for the kraft paper background! The greeting is computer generated and cut with a nestie and attatched with a brad. All the edges have been inked with chestnut chalk. I'm really chuffed with the way this came out and I still have lots of cars left to play with so I think there might be some more vintage classics coming along soon!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Rosie D's: One for the boys
Polka Doodles: Vintage Style
& Truly Scrumptious: Great Sketch!
Thanks for looking!!

Take 1 sheet die cuts.....

Morning All! hope everyone is OK, Ive been back from my holidays for nearly a week but have been spending quite a bit of time painting the new extension! Still it is beginning to look good and I can't wait for it all to be finished so I can get back to 'normal'! Enough waffling from me, here are my latest creations:

I'd like to enter these into the following challenges:

Charisma cardz: Use Die cuts

Paperplay Challenges: Pink to make the boys wink!

PaperCutz challenge: Anything goes!

I was having a bit of a browse through my stash and I came across this die cut sheet sheet of cutie bears from Lili of the Valley which I bought at the Make it show earlier in the year. I have just ordered the stamp from the website along with some other goodies from their new releases, so while I am waiting for them to arrive I thought I should use up some of the die cuts.

I made the card first using the sketch on LOTV. I cut out the die cut with Nestabilities labels 12 set, inked the edges and added some glitter to the butterflies wings. The papers are 'Henbury Lane' by Papermania.

When I had finished the card I sat looking at the scraps on my desk and decided to make a little tag to go with it using one of the smaller die cuts. The background paper on this one is DCWV (I think) and the flowers are by Prima with a bit of added glamour dust.

I'd like to enter the tag into the challenge at Die Cut Dreams: Use a tag but no stamping at all!

While I was looking through my stash I also found a paper mache box, so that also got decorated. It was so much fun, I haven't decorated a box in ages and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy doing them. Again the papers are from 'Henbury Lane' and the ribbons and pearls are from Hobbycraft. The inside is painted with white acrylic paint and then glossed over with Sparkle Mod Podge to give it some extra glittery glamour!

I'd like to enter the box into the following challenges:
Crafts & Me: Petals and pearls
Allsorts: Minature 3"
Simon Says Challenge: Make a gift (My plan is to give the box to a crafting friend with some goodies inside - flowers, charms etc)
Good news too - I still have 6 diecuts left to play with!
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

P.S. Can anyone else smell gloss paint?.....

Anniversay dash!

Morning Folks!! This is a rare event for me - finishing a card and blogging in the morning, I'm more of a night owl but I am going away for a few days and I was determined to get this card finished before I left. It's for my husband as it's our 15th wedding anniversary next week - doesn't time fly by when you are having fun... ?? It would have been finished yesterday afternoon but he came home early and I never got back to it!! I have used this cute image from Lexi's Creations which you can find in her new shop Fairy Dust crafts. I decided to take up the challenge at Lexi's Creations and paper piece the bear - note to self here, use paper for this not kraft card as it would have been much easier.. but I am pleased with the way it came out!!

I wanted to keep the card quite simple as Hubby isn't really into flowery cards!! So I decided to go for an easel card for interest and also because I love making them and just embellished it with a couple of pieces of ribbon and a heart button. Somehow it still looked a bit bare so I added a sprinkle of glitter, I'm now wearing quite a bit too!!

The backing paper has come out more pink than red in the photos, in real life it is a bit darker!

I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz - Teddy Bears
Simon says Challenge - Sing it baby, well it has to be 'Something's gotten hold of my heart'
Thanks for looking!!
